3. Grammar
Fixeu-vos en la forma de la 3a persona del singular: he/she/it has. Totes les formes del present del verb to have got sn iguals (have), excepte la 3a persona del singular que porta una s final (has).
Per fer frases interrogatives, cal seguir el model segent: Have you got a pen? (Tens un bolgraf?)
Per exemple: I have got an American friend. (Tinc un amic americ.) He has got a daughter. (Ell t una filla.)
Daltra banda, el verb to have sutilitza amb el significat de prendre en algunes expressions.
Per exemple: We have a coffee for breakfast. (Prenem un caf per esmorzar.) John has a shower in the morning. (El John pren una dutxa al mat.)

Possessive adjectives
Exemple Its my book. (s el meu llibre.) Its your book. (s el teu llibre.) Its his book. (s el seu llibre dell.) Its her book. (s el seu llibre della.) Its its book. (s el seu llibre.) Its our book. (s el nostre llibre.) Its your book. (s el vostre llibre.) Its their book. (s el seu llibre dells.)
Fixeu-vos que ladjectiu possessiu no concorda en nombre amb el nom dels objectes possets.
a) Si el possedor s una persona masculina (noi, home) sutilitza la forma del possessiu his: Peter is a doctor and his hospital is in the city centre. (el seu hospital dell = his) b) Si el possedor s una persona de gnere femen (noia, dona) sutilitza la forma del possessiu her: Peter has a girlfriend and her name is Diana. (el seu nom della = her) c) Si el possedor s un animal, cosa o concepte sutilitza la forma its: Peter and Diana have a dog and its name is Spic. (el nom del gos, de lanima l= its)
Forma s/s
Hi ha una forma especial per indicar les relacions de pertinena, s. Consisteix a afegir s al possedor:

Per exemple: Homer is Burts father. (En Homer s el pare den Burt.) John is Jessicas husband. (En John s lesps de la Jessica.)

Com ja sabeu, els demostratius serveixen per mostrar coses, i ens indiquen el grau de llunyania en qu es troben. !
Formes del singular: This/that This serveix per mostrar una cosa que s a prop. This girl (aquesta noia). That, en canvi, indica un cert grau de llunyania. That girl (aquella noia). Formes del plural: These/those

These serveix per mostrar coses que sn a prop. These girls (aquestes noies). Those serveix per mostrar coses que sn ms lluny. Those girls (aquelles noies).
Com ja sabeu, per preguntar qu s una cosa, sutilitza lexpressi whats this? (what = qu) > what is this?
Per exemple: Whats this? Its a book. Whats this? Its a dictionary. Whats this? Its a computer. Whats this? Sorry, I dont know.
Per preguntar qui s alg, utilitzem lexpressi whos this? (who = qui) > who is this?
Per exemple: Whos that? This is my daughter. Whos that? This is Susans brother. Whos that? They are my friends, Peter and Clara.
