Preparation for Flight Test CPL (H) and (A)

MEDICAL

(CAR 6.14)

Must have current medical Commercial = Class 1 current for 1 year after appropriate day (from date of issue) BIENNIAL FLIGHT REVIEW (CAR 5.108, 5.110 & 5.124)

To exercise the privileges of your licence: Must complete flight review within 2 years immediately prior to the day of proposed flight. N.B. >60 years CPL check every year >65 years CPL check every 6 months RECENCY REQUIREMENTS (CAR 5.109 & 5.125) Must not carry passengers unless 3 circuits, proficiency check or passed flight test within last 90 days. ILLNESS (6.16A) Impaired efficiency due to illness lasting: >7 days Commercial >30 days Private Must not act as PIC unless cleared by DAME (notify CASA). PRIVILEGES OF LICENCE (CAR 5.121 & CAR 5.105) 1. A CPL aeroplane authorises the holder of the licence: a. to fly a single pilot aeroplane as PIC while the aeroplane is engaged in any operation

2 b. c. to fly a multi-pilot aeroplane as PIC while the aeroplane is engaged in any operation other than CHTR or RPT to fly an aeroplane as co-pilot while the aeroplane is engaged in any operation

TYPES OF OPERATIONS 1. PVT operations: personal transportation of the owner of the aircraft aerial spotting (no remuneration received by pilot or aircraft owner) ag operations on land owned and occupied by owner of aircraft (eg mustering) aerial photography (no remuneration) carriage of persons or goods without charge must not carry goods for the purpose of trade (cannot transport own goods to market) no public notice no greater than 6 persons share costs equally Commercial Operations (CAR 206) Aerial Work (AWK) aerial surveying aerial spotting agricultural operations aerial photography advertising flying training ambulance function carriage of goods for purpose of trade CHTR carriage of passengers or cargo for hire or reward or to or from any place (not on fixed schedules) carriage of passengers or cargo to or from fixed terminals (accommodation not available to persons generally) RPT transport of persons or cargo for hire or reward fixed schedules and/ore specified routes

3 Cargo Manifest

If a passenger charter leave pax manifest at Departure Aerodrome (CAO 20.171(7)) If overseas must additionally carry: Certificate of airworthiness Certificate of registration Radio equipment licence Passenger list MAINTENANCE RELEASE (CAR 2.1 pg 396) 1. 2.
