The reason people attend college or university is to train themselves about their future carrier by pursuing those subjects which they want to work within their future life. University is considered by most of people as last part of formal education as after that they have to enter their practical life and have to take responsibility of becoming dependent with the help of career the person pursue. So at this stage people become more serious about studied as this has to decide to on their future, in short, this level acts as a bridge between you and your job, so its kind of career preparation stage. This is the time when people start to learn more about practical knowledge then just formal education. Teachers are the one who provide the noble gift of education to the students and bring them to light from darkness. According to some people, parents are best teacher as they have good idea about nature of their children and teach them accordingly but for others they might be good teacher but cannot compete with school teachers who are far better than them. Firstly teachers in school, know exactly what kind of attitude is best for their students, as they have a lot of experience in teaching students from variety of ethnic, religious backgrounds. So if someone say they cant get to know about their children as exactly as their parents would be wrong, In short they become familiar with the psyche of their students and teach them whats best for their students. Secondly, traditional school teachers have got better knowledge on the subjects that parents can never reach. Parents might effectively teach their children good moral character which is not the case with a number of other parents, but still they cant compete with the knowledge traditional teachers transform into their students. Lastly, teachers can get more frank with their students than the parents can (in at least my case). So they can get to know more about their student problems with their problems specially in studies than their parents and can come up with good suggestions due to their experience in the field which could really help students. For example, I did my BBA in Finance and was not pretty satisfied with it, and I asked one of teacher and gave me suggestion about supply chain management which I am now considering for my masters. But when I shared this problem with my parents they had simply no idea about it. Not only this, but in number of cases have my teachers been really helpful in number of things other than studies which my parents could not. So, I will go for nothing else but to disagree with the statement that parents are best teacher.

Its now much easier to cook food than it used to be and this change has brought with it more comfort to peoples life. Not only this, but this (easy to cook food) has helped in people saving their most of time and at the same time saving extra cost of hiring a cook or eating meal from outside. Firstly, these easier ways of cooking has made life more smoothing and comfortable. Readymade packets of different dishes and spices are available in the market nowadays, due to this; it doesnt require making your own. For example, biryani (a Pakistani dish), which required a balanced mixture of different spices but now these spices are combined available in one packet. So they have improved the way people. Secondly, it has aided in saving time. Frozen food, for example, does not require that much time to prepare food, which it used to take before. Burger patties are now available in stores which can be fried and one can make his/her own burger at home which if was done before without these readymade patties, it would have required a lot of time. Lastly, this change has helped in saving cost of keeping a cook as well. A cook, who was paid a handsome amount of salary before, isnt much required these days due to this easy to prepare food advancement. Due to this, one can also save cost of eating outside because it can be made at home easily. This advanced cooking has really changed ones life and has made peoples life more relaxed. The food which required a lot of time to prepare before, is now need minutes to prepare saving a lot of time from todays busy schedules and at the same time this advancement has also helped in saving cost of keeping a cook as well.

Knowledge gained from books is more important source than from experience. Knowledge gained from books show us true picture of transformation of world to whatever we see today, every day the science we experience, could be explained by books rather than by any ordinary person. Besides this, Authenticity also matter about knowledge which is more in case of books. Books tell us, what have been happening in our past, how we see todays world have been transformed into this magnificent advanced world, which cannot be learned from experience. If we ask any illiterate person or person with little knowledge, he/she wont be able to explain any of phenomenons we observe today which wasnt there in the past. But if he/ she would have been reading books, he would have been probably informed. Today, we live in world where everything is coming in terms of technology. How this technology came in, who started all this, could not be answered without reading books about them. For example, I am working on this very desktop to write this essay, but I dont know how it evolved into this. There is a complete history from abacus to Mark 1 computer then its generations which could not be learned without reading about it. So experience can never get you to the level that books can. When it comes to learning, authenticity matters a lot. Books are more credible source of knowledge. For example, reading history about any country will bring more credibility than any random guy telling you the same. Knowledge in books is more important that experience. But it doesnt matter that experience has got no value, surely knowledge one gets from experience is more durable in mind than that from books but there is question about its credibility as well. I support this announcement of building a large factory near my community. This development will result in employment of local people, result in welfare of general public but at the same time it might increase pollution in the area as well. The idea of building a factory will benefit local people largely as it will employ a number of people hence will increase per capita income of the community. It will be a gift to the community by this XYZ Company as it will also help in decreasing crime rate including theft and robbery which has been a big concern for the community in the past which is indirectly related to unemployment. Besides this, community would also get benefit in terms of fulfilling other requirements of the factory by providing some raw material. As this factory is large factory, it would surely purchase some of its inputs from local factories. Besides this, it will do some work on social responsibility like charity etc as well, and hence resulting in overall improvement and welfare for the society. There is disadvantage of this factory as well. It will increase air pollution as there is already less number of trees in the community. This will result in increase in health related issues and diseases to the common people. However, community can counter to this problem by planting more trees in the area which will decrease the affects of harmful gases and to create more pleasant atmosphere. Considering all advantages and disadvantages of the factory, I think this will benefit people at large and will harm the community to very little extent. I would disagree with the statement that Television has destroyed communication among friends and family. Through emergence of this technology, we have been more up to date with information about current events of world. We get to know about any new development of any crisis situations with live coverage. Not only this, but it has provided more topics for discussion between family and friends that has increased communication. Television has not destroyed communication, but it has given us more time to remain in touch with family and friends, by keeping us up to date with more visual effects than we get in newspaper. A newspaper requires hours to read it, which is a lot more than watching any news channel on television where only 2 minutes of headlines tell us summary of current events and crisis in the world. It has actually saved our time which can be utilized with friends and family. Live coverage on television has helped us to remain up to date with latest developments on worldwide happenings. This was not possible until next day, to be appeared in newspaper. If something is happening at a place where someone from our family or friends live, we quickly call them to ask about their situation. So this has actually increased our communication. TV shows and movies have actually given us more topics to discuss while having conversations with friends and family while either watching them on Television or when we meet. So again, this has actually helped us in enhancing our communication with them. For example, if there is funeral in my family, they remain with us side by side in this mourning situation in order to give support and encourage in this awful situation. Neighbor can be said to be good, if they are there when you are in crisis. ` I favor this plan because I believe it will bring new variety to our neighborhood. It will result in decrease in unemployment in our surrounding. Moreover it will also act as a new hangout place for residents of my neighborhood. New restaurant will basically add variety to our local eating places. We have some local pizza houses and burger restaurants but introduction of this new chain in our neighborhood will give more options to the households if they plan to eat out. It will be greatly welcomed by those who regularly eat outside and are now bored of traditional restaurants. The new restaurant will result in increase in economic activity in our area. It will employ some local peoples as chefs and waiters, which will give opportunity to people who are unemployed. It will be new place for them to hangout. I believe teacher is always better for what you want to learn until your graduation. They guide you and teach you those things that might not be present in books. But its better to study by yourself after graduation if you want to pursue any doctoral program like PhD etc as it requires your own inputs and developments for any research work. Teacher always guides you and corrects you when he/she observe any misconduct. They teach us ethics and morals that one cannot learn by them. They even talk about our culture and society which one cannot learn by them whose knowledge should be there in every student of young age. There are a number of qualities of good supervisor but the most important of them are: They train their subordinates in such a way that they could be good supervisors tomorrow, they indulge with them in the task he/she has appointed them to do and lastly he/she always motivate their staff to be committed with their work Its highly significant for a supervisor to be side by side with their staff in their assignments for better results. He/she should make sure they are getting help from his/her experience regarding their work. In most of government organizations in Pakistan, usually supervisors leave their staff alone and dont cooperate with them in their tasks resulting in bad results, and eventually bad image of department which they least care, but however in private companies the situation is vice versa and so are the results. Good boss always train his/her subordinates in way that they can be good supervisors of tomorrow and this is how they maintain their legacy (are remembered by their staff after they leave or are transferred). For example, they train their staff by taking presentations about their assignment in front of whole department which would certainly result in improvement in public speaking. I believe government should spend more money on improving public transportation such as buses, trains and subways because it will attract more people towards it, resulting in benefits for country. Some of which includes little usage of petroleum products, little need for wide roads and less number of accidents. Basically, public transportation helps in reducing usage of fuel, such as gas and other petroleum products. This is good for economy especially if it imports them from another country. Since every car has requirement for fuel, if public transportation is good, less number of cars will be used and will result in little usage of fuel. Secondly, more cars require more space resulting in requirement of wider roads and bridges to accommodate them. I think on average 5 cars require the same space equal to a single bus and accommodating around 10 to 15 people whereas a bus can allow around 25-40 people in a single go. Therefore, if public transport is improved, more people will use it and it will diminish the need for wider roads. Finally, more expenditure on public transport will result in its more usage of it by general public. Since the number of people using it will increase and number of people driving their cars will decrease, it will result in fewer amounts of accidents. As a bus can accommodate people 10 times that of cars in the same space which it covers. Its certainly a good choice for government to spend more money on public transport then on roads and highways because of the accumulated benefits it carries. As more people in result start using public transport due to improvements in it, it will help government in saving resources like petroleum products, fuel etc. It will also help in lowering expenditure on making wide roads to accommodate private transport and will surely result in less number of accidents.

I strongly disagree with the statement that a child should be brought up in countryside than a big city. Because City life provides good formal education, teach discipline and manners, and gives you experience of more civilized world, I believe its good for children to be grown up there. Countryside has mostly less number of schools and does not provide that much standard of education that is available in metropolitan. In Pakistan, countryside has mostly fever number of schools than of metropolitans and even its teachers are not that much capable to transform a child into a good educated citizen. As it is very important stage of child for its upbringing, it should be spent in big city. Big cities allow children to learn more discipline and manners than countryside. Because of the informal lives people live there, its going to impact children severely. Mostly people are uneducated, so are there activities sometimes. Many times they are involved in immoral acts and it affects childs learning of manners and discipline when he/she grows up. Finally, city life helps in children getting used to civilized world of today, which is most advanced in cities than countryside. As I was brought up in countryside, where there were no as such fast food chains to go, but when I moved to Karachi, and I visited McDonalds for the first time, I did not even know how to put straw in its drink until my cousin helped me to do so who was brought up in this city. Its value will increase with the span of time. Whereas, attending a concert is just fun for few hours. Purchasing a piece of jewelry is a wise decision for me. I have attended a number of concerts in my life when I was young but I dont consider them any more important but waste of money. Jewelry is kind of investment which is going to generate more return in future. Jewelry will not only be used at present but its value will also increase over period of time. If we see trend of precious metals like gold, silver, etc, there value is generally been increasing in the past and will certainly follow the same trend. Through tablet PCs, they are now able to surf internet for any query anywhere in library, class room etc. Moreover, at home, while doing assignments, they can get help from computer. Internet has provided an edge to students to learn more about those topics they feel difficulty with in convenient way. With the help of internet, they can explore additional material on any topic with examples they can connect with. Google and YouTube have revolutionized the way students can learn more easily and quickly. Furthermore, its easy to search any topic on internet than in a book. Tablet PCs are another source of information that act as a pocket library. One can carry it easily and conveniently anywhere in class room and libraries to search for any solution to a problem. In earlier times, when a student used to face any issue with any topic, he/she usually wanted to go to library to explore additional books for hours. But now technology has really made it quick to learn for students. I believe young people enjoy life more than the older people because young people have more stamina than senior citizens. They are more adventurous and active than old age people. Youth has basically more stamina than older people, this is the reason they can play different games like football, cricket, tennis, etc for hours. These sports are really enjoyable and give delight to people who play. Due to higher stamina, youth can swim, ride (horse), etc which is a hard task for old age people, resulting in little joy for them. Youths are certainly more adventurous than older people. They are risk taker and enjoy hiking like activities, which is impossible for older people to do, hence resulting in less joy for them. In winters they do ice skating, which is one of the best activity i like and really enjoy doing that. However, older people are unable to do that, if they do, they will for sure become victim of accidents. Hence, they cannot enjoy life as much or more than young people at this period of their time. Lastly, youths are more active and do not usually waste their time while sitting alone. They watch movies, read different novels and books and then hang out with friends, but on the other side an older person are usually lazy and do not perform these activities, if they do, then on very low scale. Therefore, it results in less joy for them than youths. Considering all above facts, its now certain that young people enjoy life more than older people, because older people's stamina is not that much strong, they are no longer risk taker and adventurous and they are less active than young people.

Its commonly believed that when students move to new school, they face a number of problems. Therefore, I believe a good orientation before start of classes would be helpful in resolving this issue. Through orientation, students can be introduced to faculty, general policies and extracurricular activities. Introduction to faculty would help students to know about important people they will be meeting in their school, which will include heads of different departments, about people in admin block, in finance office, etc. Not only this, but they will be specified about the role of each person in faculty so that they could meet them or email them if they have any issue with concerned person or department. An overview of different school policies could aid students in facing little or no problems. As generally they have problem with rules and regulations so they should be introduced about them as well. It will include policies about using library, I-e, how many books can be issued at a time, how many days one can keep those issued books with them. Moreover, it will also include rules and timings of computer lab as well so they can do their assignments and other class work accordingly. Lastly, they would be introduced about extracurricular activities. As new students have no idea about their general policies like what kind of activities they have, how many can be joined by one student, etc; they face a number of issues.
