Task 3( Essay 50 marks) Oral Health

The definition of oral health is which enables an individual to eat, speak and socialise without active disease, and which contributes to general well-being . The wider meanings of oral and health which cannot be denied is the relevance and importance of the two leading dental diseases, caries (tooth decay) and the periodontal diseases. We must alert the

importance much more than healthy teeth. Everyone cannot be healthy without oral health.

Tooth decay (cavities and dental caries) and gum disease are caused by sugar factor. If we dont brush our teeth, sugars in foods that produce acids to the tooth enamel. The bacteria caused plaque also can lead to gum inflammation or gingivitis. Although sugary foods, including cookies, candies, and sodas, are major offenders, starchy foods (such as breads and cereals) also play an important part in tooth decay. Reduce amount of betweenmeal sugary drinks and snacks.

To prevent tooth damage we must teach our family and tell them to brush teeth twice a day.We can floss and our childs teeth once a day to keep your childs teeth and gums healthy. Brushing and flossing are the most important things that we can do to keep our teeth and gums healthy. This is the best way to take care our teeth.It is brushing and flossing with the correct method.

There are many minerals and nutrients that are good for the teeth. Some of the minerals and nutrients is Calcium. Our teeth contains of calcium. Without enough calcium in our diet, it risk developing gum disease and tooth decay. Calcium is found in many foods and liquids, such as milk, yogurt, cheese, beans, and oysters.

We should go to the dentist twice a year.When we go to the dentist they will ask you what care we have taken of our teeth. They will check the health of our teeth, gums and mouth tissue. We also must educated our child and dont we fear them to go dentist.

In conclusion, dental health care is one of the most important in our life. We can minimise tooth decay and practise good dental health today with our family and society and follow government campaign lead to life health.
