Questions: B. Bryond "providing services" #2. Why did you enter human service work? I enter in the field of human services for the reason that i'm interested in helping others. I also enther this work because i would like to reinforce the skills i have been streching with the classes i been takeing. The main reason was to provide services and to offer information that the costumer needs or is not awear the agency offers it. #5. Describe successes and frustrations with provideing services, whether you do so directly (your-self) or indirectly (through referrals). Before takeing the human sercives class i was usto just speack my mine up for the person who came to me searching for healp. I had the knowledge of healping but not so stable in the sence that I usto jump with my opinion and solution for that persons problem, not giveing the chance for that person to actualy reflect and consider the idea of searching for its own healty solution. Now that i have expanded my knowlege I understand the consept of advocating and helping andeven thought it's still difficult to think on what it will be best for that other person to do and if im realy advocating them in their needs. Succes is now when a person, family or anybody who is faceing trouble is able to acheave their issues andntroubles with a great positive entusiasm of whatnting tonadvocate for other that suffernthe same issues they suffered before. It is more like learning to understand the knowledge of what it needs to be done in order for them to understand situations. When it becomes to giveing referrals i believe its more hard by the whay that the person who will be reading the paper wont see or feel the feelings that the provider is trying to explain. Also its more fearles because theperson may judge the writter by how words are placed and they may sound rude in some acassions for the readers. Yeat i consider that fustration and success are part of a human nature to achieve wheater is nowresible or not. C. Does "case managment" empower families?

#2. Why are families sometimes unable to serve as their own advocates? How can workers help and develop skills to be their own advocates? In situations families aren't unable/capable to act as their own advocathes because they arent well prepared for it. They may have the knowledge and understandment but they may not have the consep of it and thats when the problem gets worst or may be disolved. Also since they dont have the knowledge they may take sides, value the others opinion or such as nothelping that person all.

After you have completed doing the Skill Practice, answer the following questions: The Skill that I practiced for this Skill Practice Plan was: To maintain a conversation with my friend and discuse the deffinitions of power and over power. For this i used my strength skills of listening and communicateing with my frien. What did you do to practice this Skill? (Be specific in describing what action you took or behavior you practiced) I started the conversation just following the loop of getting to a confortable conversation in where we are bout controuble. It was easy although in some consepts we had to realy think and discuse the deffinitions and what it means in our own prospectives.
