It was late at night and it was raining heavily. Mark was sitting on his sofa looking through the window, but unable1 to see anything through the water hitting the glass, not even his own garden. While he was staring at the window, he heard an strange noise coming from his bedroom. He thought for a moment that he had imagined it when he heard it again. He was alone at home and it was very dark, all the lights were off2,... the storm didnt help and to be honest, he felt quite scared. He listened carefully again and he heard the noise for a third time. He could feel the sweat3 going down his forehead4 and with shaking hands5 he moved two metres to pick up the phone from the little table next to the sofa. He tried to dial6, but to his horror the line was off. Had it been cut off because of the storm or was there someone trying to get into his house? He decided to get up and, as he gathered all his courage7, he walked to the corridor8. While he was getting to his bedroom door, he heard the strange noise again. He grabbed an umbrella from the hall and entered the room ready to defend himself. He turned the light on and nobody was there. While he examined the room, he noticed at a little red light on his radio. A smile appeared on his face, nothing like being alone at home with a storm
