MAAC-1.

03 electrochemical analyser
Characteristic
MAAC-1.03 is the name of the newest generation of automatic electrochemical analysers designed mainly for determination of copper concentration, and three kinds of organic additives dozed to electrolyte during electrorefinery process. Currently, the subject of analysis, except the copper concentration, is the bone glue and thiourea concentration. Analysers construction and software enable determination one kind of organic additive more. . MAAC-1.03 analysers are constructed with a view to continuous work in copper electrorefinery process control systems MAAC-1.03 analysers together with other devices, software, and services create the main fragment of technical infrastructure of MAAC system. MAAC-1.03 analysers are assembled in places designed by analytical points structure (APS network) adapted to technological installations of concrete user. MAAC analysers network performs automatically analytical tasks according to the analysis plans elaborated by the user. APS network can be used for the purpose of transferring many technological data and data from tankhouse laboratories. Assembling MAAC-1.03 analysers network in specific production conditions requires careful preparation of implementing documentation, testing, and primary calibration. Small dimensions of analysers, solid casing, and easy access to exchange the measurement kits and filters allow for assembly those devices in places not interfering the cranes and other devices trajectory that support the production process. Each MAAC-1.03 analyser can perform 32 analytical sessions during the day and provide the following data: a) Cu concentration (g/dm3) b) bone glue concentration (mg/dm3), c) thiourea concentration (mg/dm3), d) other (X) organic additive concentration (mg/dm3), e) temperature of electrolyte taken to analysis, f) moment of electrolytes temperature measure (min/hour/date), g) moment of sample analysis start (min/hour/date), h) place of sample taking. Data analysis results of organic additives concentration provided by MAAC-1.03 analysers, placed in specially selected points of the network, after processing and correlating with tankhouse laboratories data, allow for the realisation of the particular scenario shaping optimal (in the terms of central shaping the electrolyte composition) physico-chemical properties of electrolyte for specific electrorefinery cells section. These results allow also for realizing scenarios of behaviour of devices responsible for electrolysis running and maintenance of specific electrorefinery cells sections. In the course of preparations for the implementations of contracts, it is necessary to perform the electrolytes tests and additives used by particular tankhouse.

Information provided on our website are general in nature. The presentation of detailed offer and determination of co-operation conditions, and delivery details is possible in the course of individual agreements. Operation of MAAC family automats is brought mainly to periodic measurement kits replacement, revitalisation systems operation, and kits regeneration. The current operation of these automats does not need any special qualifications. For this purpose is sufficient a few hours training for indicated stuff from electrorefinery departments. It is possible to move the maintenance service to the companies servicing tankhouses and regeneration of measurement kits to industrial laboratories. With regard to ensure the work security of APS network it is considered the possibility of placing the sensors manufacturing processes creating the measurement kits in the close vicinity of refineries. Due to the unique character of the device and the necessity of taking into account individual needs of specific tankhouse, MAAC automats are manufactured only on order.

Calibration
Proper working condition of our automats is properly carried out calibrations of measuring systems. With respect to the MAAC measurement systems, the primary calibration is used (at producers), and periodic calibrations (at users). MAAC devices are delivered to the user with implemented measurement pattern (primary calibration) and are ready to perform measurements. Both, primary calibration and periodic calibrations are performed on the freely chosen automat (hot standby). Calibrations results received from samples of electrolytes used in a given production circuits are copied to the other analysers working on APS network of a given circuit. Primary calibration Performing the primary calibration demand requires tests of electrolytes and organic additives used by the user. Both, electrolytes tests, primary calibrations, and tests are done in producers laboratory. This does not preclude the creation of a laboratory and technical conditions enabling performing the tasks of calibration, and also analysers and associated facilities servicing. Periodic calibration Periodic calibration procedures are performed on one selected for this purpose analyser what allows for fluent patterns actualisation in other analysers without necessity of stopping the measurements. Depend on settlements made with the user, the periodic calibrations can be performed in tankhouse laboratory. For this purpose it is necessary to equip the laboratory with the proper equipment and calibration procedures. Specialists team chosen by the user after special training, can perform periodic calibrations.

Service
The range of services: 1. Calibration of MAAC-1.03 analysers. 2. Guarantee and post-guarantee service of MAAC-1.03 analysers. 3. Measurement modules service. 4. Electrodes regeneration being a part of measurement kits with use of polishing machines. 5. Trainings a) in the scope of basic devices operation and performing an internal service, b) in the scope of performing periodic calibrations, c) in the scope of analysis planning.

MMS MAAC Management System

In the basic version MAAC-1.03 is equipped with a MMS application allowing both the design of the analysis (planning), and the collection and retrieve the results for data visualisation needs in production management centres, and for decision-making processes needs related to electrorefinery process running. Data synchronisation is automatic and all analysers realising APS network tasks are subordinated to it. Thanks to MMS application it is possible to transfer the pattern received in calibration process to other MAAC automats working within APS network on the same circuit on which calibration was performed. Software may be prepared in any language and integrated with users existing information systems. MMS is adapted to co-operation with production control systems and data visualisation systems in technological process management centre (operation monitors, central monitor).

Planning and analysis performance

Automat takes maximum 32 electrolyte samples for analysis during one day. One analytical session lasts 45 minutes. After performing analysis sample together with rinsing fluid is drained into the circuit. MAAC performs during one day 32 analytical sessions, each of which includes measuring the concentration up to three types of organic additives and the concentration of copper. Except determination of bone glue and thiourea concentration there is foreseen the possibility of determination one kind of component more of organic origin (aviton). Generally, over one day, one MAAC automat can perform maximum 128 analysis of each determined components.

Basic technical parameters of MAAC-1.03:

1) dimensions: length 750 mm; width 288 mm; height 475 mm, 2) weight: ca. 30 kg 3) power: <= 400 W 4) supply: 230 V (optionally 12V)

Revitalisation platform REV-1

MAAC-1.03 analyser contains on its equipment the revitalisation platform REV-1. Revitalisation of measurement kits runs automatically after placing the measurement module MP-3 on active location REV-1. The task of revitalisation platform is to ensure unchanged quality of measurement kits after delivering them to the user (hot standby) and efficient lengthening the exploitation time between the regenerations. REV-1 operation does not demand any special qualification.

Measurement module MP-3

MAAC-1.03 works on the basis of replaceable measurement kits working in analysers measurement vessel. Replaceable measurement kit is the device equipped with sensors kit and plug-in socket connecting the measurement kit with measurement electronics of the analyser. Each measurement kit is connected with transportation body and together they are creating the measurement module MP-3. The construction of MP-3 is fulfilling also an environment role, allowing for measurement kits revitalisation and keeping them in constant readiness for measurements. The Measurement kits revitalisation run in MP-3 modules on revitalisation platforms REV-1.

Probe AS-2
Probe AS-2 allows for taking samples by MAAC analyser and pumping out after performed analysis. The probe AS-2 is designed for periodic calibration purposes in users laboratory.

Adapter AD-2
Adapter AD-2 connects analysers with the pipeline transporting the electrolyte in tankhouse. Adapter AD-2 includes the junction of distillate enabling rinsing the internal installations of analyser.
