ITM University (Institute of Technology and Management) is an autonomous university situated in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

It was founded in 1992 by Educate India Society, registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860 as an engineering institute, to provide education inTechnical and Management. Formerly it was under Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak till 2012 batch but now it has become a private university.[1] The institute gained the status of private university in the academic year 2009-10, and was renamed ITM University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 and PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES ACT NO 25 OF 2009, Government of Haryana.

Campus[edit source]
The University is located in Gurgaon, which is about 10 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport. The campus is spread over an area of 10 acres of land in urban area. The University has developed a fully airconditioned library that has a comprehensive collection of more than 50,000 books.

Sports facilities[edit source]


ITM University provides sporting opportunities in following areas: Cricket, Hockey, Soccer, Volley Ball, Badminton, Tennis and Table Tennis. An athletics track as well as a multipurpose sports arena and facilities for other indoor games is also available.

The campus hosts a wide variety of activities including invited lectures, films, musical and cultural events and other special programmes.[citation needed]

School of Law[edit source]


The 5-year integrated B.B.A-LL.B. (Honours) Degree Program integrates the study of law with management in a trimester mode for enhancing the employability of their graduates.

Research[edit source]
To foster learning discovery and research, the University places great emphasis on sponsored and academic research. Faculty of the university have been awarded a variety of research projects by the Department of

Science & Technology, Defence Research and Development Organization, All India Council of Technical Education, University Grants Commission and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India and from other leading private organizations. Research awards are given to faculty of the University for publishing research papers in international journals and conferences and for authoring and publishing of textbooks. Faculty is regularly sponsored for conferences and seminars to keep abreast with the latest technologies. Departments also publish their internal journals like Voyager - The Journal of Computer Science & Information Technology, Vani - Journal of Department of Applied Science and Humanities, Livewire - Journal of Department of EECE and Impulse - Journal of Department of Mechanical Engineering are regularly published.

NIITs Centre for Research in Cognitive Systems. University of Leeds will recognize first-class honours graduates, in relevant disciplines, of Institute of Technology and Management, as meeting the requirements for entry to the University of Leeds one year full-time MSc. Programme(s)in the Schools of Mechanical Engineering, Electronic and Electric Engineering and Computer Studies. The University of Leeds shall reserve five seats per year in each of the aforementioned Schools/disciplines of ITM graduates, recommended by ITM faculty. This offer is made subject to the candidates having sufficient funds to meet the cost of tuition fees and maintenance at the University.

ITM will provide manpower and logistic support for the activities of SIESIIEM in the NCR and in the neighbouring states. ITM will arrange training programmes on environment with the technical support and guidance of SIES-IIEM.

ITM and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore have entered into a collaboration in the area of Student Industrial / Professional Attachment. Under this collaboration, ITM shall undertake to arrange student attachments for NTU students with leading companies in India. Similarly, the office of professional attachments at NTU undertakes to arrange student attachments for ITM students with leading companies in Singapore.[citation needed]
