1. A paper mill produces two grades of paper namely X and Y. Because of
raw
material restrictions, it cannot produce more than 450 tons of grade X and
310 tons
of grade Y in a week. There are 170 production hours in a week. It requires
0.4 and
0.6 hours to produce a ton of products X and Y respectively with
corresponding
profits of Rs 300 and Rs 550 per ton. Formulate the above as a LPP to
maximize
profit and find the optimum product mix...
2. A company has three plants A, B and C, 3 warehouses X, Y and Z. The
number of
units available at the plants is 60, 80 and 80. The demand at X, Y and Z are

and 86 respectively. The unit cost of transportation is given in the table in
the next
