The AMX is the product of an internatlono1Joint Venture between Italy (70.3%)and Braz~l

(29.7%).
Italian involvement is shared between Alenia Aeronaut~ca (46.5%) and Aerrnacchi (23.8%). Alenio Aeronautico is the Italian pnme contractor and AMX prolect leader.

AMX represents an aircraft family being capable of different operational roles. "Plug & Play" concept (full provision for
easy insertion/removal of equipment) assures a high weapon system flexibiliiy: optional kits and sensors are available to comply with a wide range of customers requirements and operational needs.

Up-to-date avionic system
The avionic architecture is based on two mission computer/symbol generators connected with two redundant MIL-STD-15538 data buses, interconnecting the navigation and attack sensors.
