2. JBS Programs
Jaypee Business School has chosen to focus on the Niche and Sunrise Service Verticals
of India that require most urgently the trained performers and inputs of Service
management and Relationship Technologies. The first and foremost reason for our
special emphasis on service management education is the emergence of India as the most
competitive source of personnel in outsourcing, design & development and support
services. The other reason is the rapid growth projected in the several service verticals in
India contributing more than sixty percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of India.
Two Year Master in Business Administration (MBA)
Five Year Dual Degree in Management (DDM) Program (B.Tech and MBA)
Doctoral Program in Business Management.
The future Programs include the following:
Two year MBA in Media and Marketing Management.
Three years Mid Career MBA Program.
Short term Training Programs, Consulting and Research etc.
Jaypee Halls of Fame and Centers of Excellence
With a view to accelerate learning process and quickly deliver our impact to our
stakeholders in service and relationship sectors, our Jaypee Business School plans to set
up two Halls of Fame and several Centers of Excellence. These Halls of Fame and
Centers of Excellence will promote, lead and crystallize the cutting edge research,
teaching, industry practices, and thought leadership in their intended domains. The
School has planned two world class Halls of Fame- one each on Service Masters and
Relationship Masters. These Halls of Fame will symbolize the partnership between
Academics and Industry.
The Service Hall of Fame will showcase the profiles, processes, strategies, practices,
and accomplishments of the World class Service Masters in India. These Service Masters
would be from the select service verticals in Banking & Insurance, Travel & hospitality,
Education & People Excellence, Communication & Transportation. The entrants will be
nominated and selected by a Jury of leading service professionals. The Service Hall of
Fame will provide a real-time link to the resources of the Service Masters.
The aims and activities of the Relationship Hall of Fame are quite similar to those of the
Service Hall of Fame. It will showcase profiles, processes, strategies, practices, and
technologies of the World class Relationship Masters in India. The Relationship Hall of
Fame will offer an opportunity to work with the relationship masters- so chosen.
Besides these Halls of Fame, Jaypee Business School (JBS) will also set up several
Centers of Excellence. Each Centre will Pursue, Publish, Practice and Promote
Excellence in the select verticals of Service and Relationship Management. Three such
Centers of Excellence are under different stages of advancement. They include Jaypee
Centre for Learning Excellence (CLE), Jaypee Centre for Industry Interface (CII) and
Jaypee Centre for Service Innovation (CSI).

5. Learning Objectives:
The students gained an improved understanding of overall Business System through the
following objectives.
a. To develop and understanding of individual components of supply chains
(Such as order management, transportation, network design, distribution
channel management, after sales service and customer service strategy)
and their interrelationships with other functions of the company such as
marketing, manufacturing and finance.
b. To impart analytical and problem solving skills necessary to develop
solutions for a variety of supply chain management and design problems
to develop an understanding for the use of information technology in
supply chain optimization.
c. To understand the complexity of inter-firm and intra-firm coordination in
implementing programs such as quick response, jointly managed
inventories and strategic alliances.
d. To highlight how supply chain can make significant contribution to
business results and how to cope up with uncertainties in supply chain.

This assignment requires you to research on given topic and submit a 1000 words
report (excluding annexure).
Each team gives only one report
Sources for the information will be websites.
Each project report should include the following:
Team number, names of team members and team leader.
Introduction of the company chosen
Five things your team learnt from the research and analysis
References including web-references.
Each team leader will give evaluation of the team members as each member will
receive the adjusted grade as per Annexure 4.
Make your project report both visually appealing and content-rich by including
visuals, graphs, diagrams etc.
Learning Facilitator will grade the report as per Annexure 5.

Present your own answer to the question but again, limit the number of slides

Do not talk for too long! You should aim to talk for a total of 7-10 minutes NOT
counting the class discussion.

Evolution Diary
As a course requirement, you will submit evolution diary pages- each page
detailing three/two takeaways out of each Learning week in about 150 words.
Submit the Diary page on every Wednesday morning. The Diary earns no grade
but is essential to pass the course.
