I. Introduction
Welcome, and thank you for participating in this needs assessment survey! We are conducting
this survey because we want to learn more about the state of macro social work education in our
school. The 2012 Rothman Report illustrated the state of macro education on a countrywide
scale, but we want to know whats happening here in our school community. (The Rothman
Report can be provided to you by the person/people conducting this survey).
We ask that you be as honest as possible when answering. Were striving to get the richest
information we can in order to be as well-informed as we can. While the results may be
presented to our school community, your name will never be used. This survey should take
roughly 15 minutes of your time.

Macro social work focuses on larger systems, such as communities and organizations. It
comprises a variety of practices i.e. community organizing, program planning and development,
policy analysis and advocacy, educational outreach, and so forth.
