FCC Retrofit Technology Options

Reactor-side Technologies
Reactor-side Technologies are aimed at improving product selectivity through the reduction of coke and gas yields. These technologies offer increased operability and reliablity Cyclone Technologies provides excellent catalyst / vapor separation with minimal erosion. Stripper Technology reduces hydrocarbon carry-under at lower steam consumption and combustion air requirements than provided through conventional stripping technologies - all at a reduced cost.

Regenerator-side Technologies
Regenerator-side Technologies offer reliable, reduced operating cost regeneration options to minimize catalyst deactivation, limit NOx emissions, and provide flexibility for feedstock and catalyst changes. The integrated mechanical and process design minimizes thermal stresses and polythionic stress corrosion cracking. Wet Gas Scrubbing (WGS) Technology simultaneously controls FCC unit flue gas emission of SOx and particulates. The WGS system is commercially proven, reliable, and robust. Third Stage Separator (TSS) Technology achieves higher removal of small particles compared to other commercial third stage separator systems and can often meet particulate emission standards without an electrostatic precipitator or scrubber. Catalyst Cooler Technology provides additional regenerator cooling for higher concarbon / resid feedsocks.

Riser Termination / Short Contact Time (SCT) Technology provides optimal catalyst hydrocarbon contacting and separation. Feed Injector Technology increases the yield of high-value products through superior feed atomization and droplet distribution, plus improved riser temperature profiles and coke and gas selectivity benefits.
