National Power grid is very important to enable balanced industrial and infrastructure development in the Country. It has to link the large power generation units with the main populated cities and industrial bases of the Country. In addition it has to provide linkages with its neighbouring countries for power interconnection for both supply and receipt. Angelique sets up HV and EHV Transmission lines single / double circuit up to 800 kV AC/DC on total turnkey basis. Electricity is usually transmitted to long distances across deserts, mountains and rivers through overhead power transmission lines where as underground power transmission is used only in densely populated areas. Facilities exist for testing of towers up to 1000 kV.

Power generated at low voltages need to be stepped up for transmission over long distances and also needs to be distributed / stepped down to required levels for industrial and domestic use - all this is achieved by electric Sub Stations. Towns and villages close to urban centres can be connected to the national grid and electrified by cheaper modes of electricity transmission and distribution. Renewable Sources of Energy

Bio-Diesel
Biodiesel is produced from Jetropha, Soyabean or other similar plantations. It does not contain petroleum but can be blended with diesel at any level. Biodiesel is made by transesterification whereby glycerine is separated from the fat or vegetable oil leaving methylester (Biodiesel) and glycerine. Biodiesel is less toxic, free from sulphur, biodegradable, made from renewable sources and has lower emission norms compared to diesel. 13

Irrigation
Irrigation is the replacement or supplementation of rainfall with water from another source in order to grow crops. The water source for irrigation may be lake, river, spring, well or snow pack. Depending on the distance of source and seasonal rainfall the water may be channelled directly to agricultural fields or stored in reservoirs for later use. Angeliques expertise encompasses irrigation techniques which differ on how the water is obtained from the source and distributed with in the field based on requirement. It includes :

Overhead / Sprinkler Irrigation

Sprinkler irrigation is similar to rainfall. Water is piped to central locations and distributed by overhead high pressure sprinklers or guns or by low pressure sprays most suitable for field crops and vegetables.

Ground Water Development

Ground water is important source for irrigation and drinking. Angelique projects make the best use of surface and underground water resources. Minor irrigation schemes are based on ground water and are important for agricultural development.

Centre Pivot Irrigation

Iron & Steel is a core sector industry and its demand is strongly linked to the overall level of economic activity in the Country. Castings are important for the manufacturing industry whereas reinforcing bars are vital for the construction industry. Steel bars plain or twisted in sizes ranging from 10 mm to 32 mm are the widely used in RCC and buildings. Angelique sets up steel plants and foundries for iron and steel products.

Steel Plants
Iron ore lumps, coke, limestone, dolomite and other raw materials are charged in blast furnace where hot air is pumped to melt iron and fluxes. The molten metal when cooled and solidified is called pig iron. Molten metal from blast furnace is purified to reduce impurities and then cast into semi finished forms such as billets, slabs, etc. by continuous casting.

Mini Steel Plants

Scrap/Sponge Iron, fluxes, ferro-alloys are melted in an electric arc/induction furnace and refined to control the carbon, phosphorous content. The liquid steel is cast into semi finished products such as billets, slabs etc. by continuous casting.

Steel Rolling Mills

The billets and slabs are reheated and rolled into finished products long products (bars, angles, structural) and flat products (HR plates, strips, coils). HR coils can be further cold rolled to form CR sheets to be galvanized and used by the industry.

Castings are widely used in Electrical, Automotive, Railways, Material handling, Pumps & Valves industry etc. We set up fully mechanized iron and steel foundry for mass production of castings to meet the needs of engineering industry. Sugar is widely used as a sweetening agent in beverages, food, sweets, carbonated drinks and also for preservation purpose in various applications both in domestic and industrial use. Sugar industry is one of the major industries in any developing economy and contributes in a big way towards its development. Sugar is generally produced from sugar cane or sugar beet, however, commercial sugar is widely produced from Cane sugar. The Company always strives to take steps to improve the quality of life of its employees and their families as well as for the local community and society at large. Social integration of the employees and their families is always at forefront in the agenda of non business activities of the company. Sports, outings, entertainment, house magazines and festival get togethers are regularly organized in which families of the employees participate enthusiastically. Daya Krishna Goyal Charitable Trust works actively in India and Overseas for up bringing of underprivileged sections of the society encompassing basic education and health. The Company integrates social and environmental concerns in their business operations. Top priority is accorded to minimize the impact on environment in all the projects executed by Angelique. All offices of the company are strictly No-Smoking zones. No child labour is employed at any level in any office of the organization.

Training & Development

Updating employees with the latest information and developments in the national and international arena is a regular activity and always at the core while designing the training programmes for Angeliques employees. The Company also encourages its employees to acquire knowledge of foreign languages which directly helps and improves the performance of people in international marketing and project execution.
