Matthew 24:8

SECOND SEAL: The Red Horse = The Spirit of War, Bloodshed and Unrest as found in Communism, Socialism, Marxism,
Leninism, Fanatical Islam, Nazism and Third World Despots.

Revelation 6:3-4: 3When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come 4Then another horse came
out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth to make men slay each other. To him was given a large
sword.

We know that the red horse and rider is a heavenly sent spirit (Zechariah 6:5) that has been loosed on the world. Given this information
we now ask, what very powerful international (world) spirit is there that can actually change the course of humanity, is associated with
bloodshed and red power. The only spirit that could fulfill this criteria is Communism, Marxism, Leninism or Socialism which are all
synonymous terms. Communists are referred to as "reds" and since its inception in 1949, China as "Red China." Communism is atheistic
in belief and sees religion as an enemy, the "opiate of the people". The elimination of the middle class is paramount resulting in the state
being placed above the individual, who exists only to serve the nation or the "greater good" as it is sometimes called. In man's bent to
have power over his own kind, communism is to be the worldwide government of choice. One has only to look more recently at the
USA, under the leadership of President Obama to see the seeds of socialism and fascism being planted and nurtured. If something is not
done about it, it will be only a matter of time until they flourish giving birth to another example of the worldwide government of choice.
How well does Communism fulfill the conditions of the Red Horse?

• Its rider was given power. The fact that the rider was given power indicates that he does not of himself possess the authority to act on
his own but is the instrument chosen by God to complete an assignment within specified parameters. He works within God's permissive
will.

• To take peace from the earth. This rider's influence will be felt worldwide and in various venues and political systems. It is not likely
that every nation will be at war or every government will be abusive but the mood of the earth will be one of violent, savage warfare and
unrest.

For example, everywhere that International Communism goes there is bloodshed, war, bondage and unrest. Whether in Vietnam, the
Congo, North Korea, China, Cambodia, the Soviet Union, Latin America, Africa, etc. Where Communism is found it takes peace from
the earth and is always accompanied by revolution and covert ventures. Although Communism is not the only political regime that
keeps the earth in turmoil, it is the one that is most universal. Other hotspots frequently spring up on the planet involving tyranny and
control of people, usually in third world countries. Although more localized, and frequently communist backed, they nevertheless
contribute to disorder throughout the globe. The red horse and rider will move down any corridor that provides an opportunity to carry
out his mission. This accompanied with the desires that battle within the heart of man make for a lethal combination.

• To make men slay each other. Not only do Marxists, Leninists, Maoists, and mankind in general kill their enemies but each other. This
was the situation in the political purges in China where an estimated 60 million people died in the cultural revolution. It was also the
state of affairs during the term of Joseph Stalin who rose to become the leader of the Soviet Union. From 1936-1938, he launched the
Great Purge (Great Terror). This was a campaign to rid the Communist Party of people accused of corruption or treachery. Those
involved were often executed, imprisoned in labour camps, or exiled. Archives indicate that some 700,000 people were executed while
many more died in "Gulag" labour camps. Paul Pot who was the leader of the Cambodian Communist movement known as the Khmer
Rouge inflicted slave labour, malnutrition, poor medical care and execution resulting in the deaths of and estimated 1.7 million people,
approximately 26% of the Cambodian population.

And then there was Hitler and the Nazi (Nationalsozialist) Party. Although it was not a large nor sustaining movement, it gave rise to
WWII which affected the entire planet. Nazism, a form of fascism, was comprised of a number of ideologies and philosophies which
centered around nationalism, anti-communism, traditionalism and the importance of the ethnostate. In its extreme it went about the
business of conquering and exterminating on a massive scale. The spirit of the red horse and rider moved through Europe with such
devastation, it resulted in some 2.5 million people being murdered in what would come to be known as the Holocaust.

Africa is and was another source of human destruction and persecution. Idi Amin, a Ugandan military dictator, who took power in a
coup in January of 1971 inflicted human rights abuses, political repression, ethnic persecution, killings and expulsions upon the citizenry
of Uganda. The number of people killed as a result of his regime is unknown but estimates from international observers and human
 rights groups range from 100,000 to 500, 000 people. Amin was neither a communist or a fascist, and indicated when asked that he was
not following any policy at all. He simply was an Amin-ist. His actions drew attention to the world but for the most part were confined
to a local area within continental Africa. His policies were not transplanted to other areas of the world, although they may well have
given other third world despots ideas as to how they could subjugate their own people.

History is full of examples of men slaying each other. From the days of Alexander the Great to Nero to Genghis Kahn and in every
direction you choose to search, the song sadly goes on.

Men do slay each other and fallen man along with the red horse and rider has the means and desire to make it happen. This is clearly the
time which was prophesied by Christ in Matthew 24:6-7: " You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not
alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will
be famines and earthquakes in various places.

• To him was given a large sword. This speaks of military might. If you put the forces of the ex Soviet Union and China together right
now who would want to take them on at the same time? No one. It would be a terrible situation to be in because they have great military
strength. In addition the large sword represents the individual might of a given regime, be it petty despot, political subtleness or anarchy,
as it inflicts its will upon its own.

The large sword referred to in this passage is the Roman short sword (machaira). It is symbolic of the authority to make men slay each
other, take peace from the earth and exercise military might.

Romans 13:1, 4: 1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has
established. 4For he (the one in authority) is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the
sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

We can now see that the red horse symbolizes war, the military and their machines. The horse's colour is fitting because it represents all
the bloodshed in man's hellish wars—war which God permits within His permissive will, but which come from the pride, prejudices, and
greed of man's heart.

James 4:1: 1What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?

It would seem that the spirit of Communism best represents the greatest, although not exclusively, the red horse and rider as he gallops
throughout our planet even in this present day. As the end times unfold there is no doubt that his actions will become more daring,
sinister and involve more organizations, peoples and places. It's not over yet!
