Undergraduate Research Assistant Adverse Environment Rotor Test Stand The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA (September/2012 Present) Analyzed the effects of airflow turbulence on the surface of rotor blades through acoustic testing. Conducted ice accretion model validation via rotor icing tests on a 10 ft. diameter configuration. Installed ultrasonic de-icing actuators on truncated composite helicopter blades for rotor ice testing. Tested ice adhesion strength of ice protective materials under representative centrifugal forces.
