SOXG HT'DS OF THE OPER1ETTA
The Frying Pan Chorus
'l'he oven bakes the brend 1 know and cooks tlic juicr n1e:1 t :
It also browns the cakes and tarts and' pies. ,
'I' he kettle hbils the ' taters, the onions, and tomatos,
'l'he good old Christmas pudding with brandy sauce so fiue.
It cooks the juicy apples and the jellies and the jamH.
Now all of this is true I must admit;
1 But if you want tlw flavor, that rich delicious savor,
'l'hcrc is nothing like the good old f rying pan.
The Doctor's Song
A doctor am I with diplomas t hat high.
My patients they call by the score,
"With cuts on the ,head, or a '.fracture instead,
Appendex all swollen and sore .
. From stomach to liver to toes,
All clay long I listen to woes,
For a doctor am I, a fame reaching sky
Ail . . M. , D.; an M. D. am I.
A doctor am I; my tonies come buy!
I promise they'll cure every ill.'
If you want to get fat, I've a tonic that!
I can double your weight with one pill,
Or if you prefer to get thin
And , lose , all your dimples ancl chin,
The same pill . just hy, f or a doctor am I,
An M. D., an M.. D. am I.
'Vith a saw and a knife, I can lengthen your life,
And calories neve1; count more.
The spinach so green, those carrots so mean
Need never to darken your door.
T.hen if now vour waist inust be small
You don ' t nee.d to diet lit an.
Just give me a try, for a doctor am I
A doctor, a doctor am I.
