TECNOFLOOR Tw-3040 is a fluid, pigmented, waterbased epoxy coating with optimal chemical and mechanical resistance properties. It has been especially designed for application in garages, parking lots, and vehicle transit areas, over flooring surfaces subject to the strictest decontamination and cleaning standards, and in the chemical and food processing industries.

The underlayment surface must always be subject to a mechanical preparatory process: sandblasting, milling, or shot-blasting (see table in this page). Existing cracks, cavities or flaws, if any, must be filled and compacted previously, using repair mortar prepared with a combination of our PRIMER EP-1020 with 0.3 ~ 0.5 aggregate or calcium carbonate (1:1). This mixture ensures a high-strength quick-drying solution. Please contact our technical department to clarify any doubts you may have regarding before using the product. Priming | Imprimacin
Es necesaria la aplicacin de nuestras imprimaciones (ver tabla en esta pgina) para facilitar el sellado y la adherencia al soporte, consiguiendo as un buen anclaje y un acabado superficial correcto. Su aplicacin se puede realizar con brocha, rodillo o equipo tipo airless. En el caso de superficies de hormign, ste debe haber finalizado su proceso de curado de 28 das posteriores a su vertido, o en todo caso, se deber comprobar el grado de humedad mximo permisible en la superficie del soporte (especificado en la ficha tcnica de la imprimacin).
Application of our priming products (see table in this page) is required for sealing purposes, to ensure proper bonding with the underlayment surface, and, therefore, a good anchoring and the proper surface finishing. The primer layer can be applied using a brush, roller or airlesstype unit. In the case of concrete surfaces, it will be necessary to allow a 28-day curation process after pouring. Otherwise, it will be necessary to check the maximum admissible humidity level on the underlayment service (specified in the products technical sheet).

Upon completing the underlayment surfaces preparation process, and once the primer layer is dry (see technical sheet of the primer), using a roller or airless-like unit, proceed to apply as many TECNOFLOOR layers as you see fit, in accordance with the level of resistance you wish to achieve. Apply at least 2 layers of product, allowing a 24 h interval between them. For optimal finishing and in order to ensure an even surface spread and protection, apply layers perpendicularly to one another.

Upon completing the underlayment surfaces preparation process, and once the primer layer is dry (see technical sheet of the primer), using a roller or airless-like unit, apply a first TECNOFLOOR layer. Immediately afterwards, and while the product is still wet (very important), sprinkle a layer of aggregate until saturated. Allow 24 hours and then sweep excess product, sandblast and, once again, sweep or vacuum surface to remove any leftover dust. Apply a final TECNOFLOOR layer, covering the surface completely. Repeat process as many times as required to achieve the desired strength.

Upon completing the underlayment surfaces preparation process, and once the primer layer is dry (see technical sheet of the primer), using a roller or airless-like unit, apply a first TECNOFLOOR layer. While the product is still humid (very important), light sprinkle a layer of 0.3~1.3 aggregate and allow sufficient time for it to dry out. Once dry, sweep excess materials. Using a flat trowel, apply a new layer of TECNOFLOOR, this time mixed with aggregate 0.1 ~ 0.3 in proportion 1:1. While this last surface is still humid, light sprinkle another layer of 0.3~1.3 aggregate and let it dry out. Once dry, sweep loose aggregate, and sandblast surface. Vacuum dust resulting from sandblasting operation. Using a squeegee, spread a layer of TECNOFLOOR TW3040 diluted with 5% water or TECNOFLOOR T-3020 diluted with 5% DESMOPOL SOLVENT according to the system used. Steps in color can be repeated as many times as required, based on target thickness and resistance.

Upon completing the underlayment surfaces preparation process, and once the primer layer is dry (see technical sheet of the product), apply a TECNOFLOOR layer using a notched trowel. Make sure that layer thickness meets intended use requirements (recommended minimum thickness 2mm). It is essential to use a mechanical stirrer at low speed for mixing components A and B before use using, to prevent air bubble formation in the mixture, making sure to mix along the inner perimeter of the drums base thoroughly. Another possibility is to mix the product with 0.3 ~ 0.5 aggregate in 1:1 proportion and stir with mechanical stirrer at low speed. 20 minutes after applying TECNOFLOOR T-3020 it will be necessary to roll porcupine roller over surface to release trapped air. Outdoor Finishing: In outdoor applications, once the product is dry, apply a final layer of your TECNOTOPrange aliphatic enamel of choice. Anti-Slip Finishing: For Anti-Slip finishings, apply, once the product layer is dry, a final layer of our TECNOTOP range aliphatic enamel of choice mixed with a TECNOPLASTIC range micronized plastic (8% recommended) according UNE-EN 12633:2003 (Rd=3).
