Tailor-made for customer (Green design considering

for the efficiency, economic, robust, environment protection and safety)

Assist ship owner to run their existing ships with the

best performance
Provide the ship owner for technical issues

Reduce pollutions and energy saving

Energy-Saving 10 % (ES-10) Projects

www.csbc.com.tw

Target: Save 10% horse power (ES-10)

Lines improvement to save 5% powering High efficient propulsion and energy saving devices

to save 5% powering Period: year 2006 ~ 2008

Expected economic benefits for ship

owner
Save fuel
Reduce CO2 Save maintenance fee Establish green ship and environmental friendly

Improving hull lines

Save 5% powering (test at NTU)

New stern (test at HSVA Jan., 2009)

www.csbc.com.tw

Save 6.9% power at design draft

Propulsive devices PBCFTip Fin Propeller

www.csbc.com.tw

PBCF gains 1.3% power at HSVA Tip fin propeller save 1.7% ~ 1.9% power Tip fin propeller efficiency will be further

enhanced in the ES-20 project.

High efficient propeller and energy saving rudder

Three tailor-made design of pre-

swirl generator is proven by HSVA that it can reduce resistance up to 1.7% and save 1.3% power. No power is wasted by fitting the patent design.
