Ko (English: King) is an upcoming Indian Tamil film directed by K. V. Anand starring Jeeva, Ajmal Ameer, newcomer Karthika Nair and Piaa Bajpai in lead roles.[1] The film is currently in its production stage and slated for a release in February 2011.

Development
Initially the film was rumored to have Karthik Sivakumar in the lead role. However, it was later officially announced that Silambarasan Rajendar would play the lead role in the film. But, due to difference of opinion with the director, Simbhu was removed from the project just before the start of the shooting [2] and was quickly replaced by Jeeva.[3] The lead female role was initially supposed to be enacted by Tamannaah Bhatia, who was replaced by actress Radha's daughter, Karthika Nair.[4]Trailer of this film was played during Manmadan Ambu which got high response.[5]

Soundtrack
The soundtrack is scored by Harris Jayaraj, who joins with Anand again after Ayan.[6] The composing of the songs took place in Macau. During Diwali 2010, a short teaser was released, which featured the song "Ennamo Yeadho". Another song, "Aga Naga" would feature special appearances by several Tamil film personalities, including composer Jayaraj (see under cast). The album was launched on January 19 in Chennai.[7]
