You should try to fit into similar dimensions and proportions. They are more restrictive than the previous model in order to get better performance
How it works?
Maybe this kind of design seems to be a crazy first school children idea, but... ARE YOU SURE?. Don't decive yourself by the simplicity of the concept, this design has a lot of hiden secrets (in fact, just one secret, but THE SECRET...). These diagrams looks like the first images that came to our minds when we think on a typical "perpetual motion device": some magnets arranged in a turbine-like fashion... We all know that it doesn't work... BUT IT DOES!!. Just take a CAREFUL look at the field lines on every magnet:

You can see the field inside the magnets is really distorted or squeezed, and also that there are more positions where the rotor magnets are attracted counter-clockwise than repelled clockwise... You could say that it doesn't matter if there are more attraction magnets, then surely the forces of repulsion will be greater than the forces of attraction... and you are right. BUT!... The areas of attraction and repulsion are not the same for every rotor magnet. Repulsion forces are stronger, but attraction areas are bigger. This fact, combined with the presence of more attraction than repulsion magnets causes a little imbalance of attraction against repulsion in the whole rotor!. How it is possible?. If you look carefully to the field of the stator and rotor magnets, you could see that the magnetic poles are "spreaded" along the magnet itself. The magnetic poles are distorted by other stator or rotor magnets. Then, you can see that the rotor magnets feel an imbalance on the torque due to the stator and rotor magnets FREE distortion of the field:

If the imbalance of the poles were caused only between every rotor and stator magnet, the attraction and repulsion regions would exactly compensate, but this imbalance of the poles of the stator and rotor magnets is not only due to the rotor magnets as they pass by, the stator and rotor magnets also caused this "spreading" of the pole on their stator or rotor neightbours!. So for the whole rotor, the forces of attraction and repulsion are not symmetrical. This effect of imbalance is created by the stator magnets themshelves because every stator magnet changes the pole distribution of the rest!. And the same happens in the rotor magnets!. OK, let's see how the device works in more detail...
Simulations:
Here you can download The ZIP file with the FEMM 4.0 file, the Excel data of the simulation, and a LUA script to do automatic simulations for torque. Doing a torque calculation for the whole rotor wheel (in a 24 angle region, using steps of 0.05), we obtain the following pattern:

It's clear that the possitive torque for the whole rotor is greater than the negative one. In fact, it seems there is almost no negative torque! THERE IS NO DOUBT, THERE IS A LITTLE IMBALANCE OF POSSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TORQUE IN EVERY ROTOR MAGNET THAT CAUSES POSSITIVE TORQUE ON THE WHOLE ROTOR!.
Conclusion:
I have used the SMOT1.5 name because it is an update of a previous device that was similar to the Simple Magnetic Overunity Toy principle. Also, it's named PM3.3 because it's my Third Perpetual Motion Magnetic Machine. We always talk about FIELD LINES and FIELD DENSITY, but we never talk about FIELD TENSION or STRESS or PRESSURE. The field inside the magnets always want to be equally distributed, so if the field inside the magnets has an initial "tension" or distortion, this will cause an effect when one rotor magnet approaches to one stator. The imbalance on the torque for the rotor magnets comes from the "distorted" fields (tension or stress) inside the stator and rotor magnets. This distortion is liberated and restablished for FREE (it's an effect between stator-stator and rotor-rotor magnets), but the rotor magnets feel an imbalance on the torque as they approach and leave the stator magnets. This effect of static distortion of poles on stator and rotor magnets (FIELD STRESS inside the magnets) is what causes the imbalance on the torque on rotor magnets... so other designs could improve the performance of this device.

Here you can download a ZIP file with the FEMM 4.0 file, the Excel data of different simulations, and a LUA script to do automatic simulations for torque. Also, using two wheels out of phase, we could avoid the negative torque.

There is also a VIDEO you can download. Unfortunately this prototype seems not to work. The PM3.2 simulations were not optimized. The optimized ones gives 4-5 times less torque than before. Maybe this is not sufficient to drive the rotor weight. The PM3.3 simulations are optimized, so a real device should work as the simulations, but we must take care that simulations do not take the rotor weight into account, so... ...Good luck on your research for FREE energy...
