DESCRIPTION Job purpose We are looking for a new member to join an existing team to maintaining secure operations across a high-profile Private Finance Initiative ("PFI") complex in Wakefield. The postholder will take responsibility for providing comprehensive security service across the site, meeting both the contractual KPIs and compliance guidelines. The post holder will be the first point of contact for all staff, subcontractors, members of public and event guests accessing the site. As such, it is essential that they conduct themselves in a highly professional, customer friendly and focussed manner at all times. Please note: - The successful candidate will join an existing team, who are employed on a rostered basis, in order to provide a responsive 24/7 cover. - The successful candidate must live within a 50 mile radius of the Wakefield area. - Candidates will be required to pass security checks in order to meet our clients sitesecurity requirements.

Responsibilities Undertake any duties to ensure the security and safety of buildings, equipment, staff and other bona fide users of the training facility in accordance with SIA standards and practice and Company policy Prevent unauthorised access to the site and challenge those believed to be unauthorised trespassers on site Assist bonafide visitors around the site Implement and follow response plans and standard operating procedures for predetermined events Log attendance by using the nearest patrol monitoring system point, which will in turn feed the Patrol Monitoring and recording system and support the monthly reporting process to the client. Following any incident, draft incident report within current shift. Photographs will be taken and appended where appropriate and reference to any CCTV footage will be recorded/stored. Respond to alarm activations, security related emergencies within building. Monitoring of CCTV footage Management of the vehicle barriers from the Gatehouse. Undertake administrative duties including operation of the Help Desk during night and weekend shifts To ensure continuity of service through accurate, documented shift handover processes Activate the emergency response plans and notify the appropriate people on the call out list Notification/escalation of significant issues, both in and out of hours, to the FM Manager Duty Manager and General Manager Coordination and Communication to manage the incident and associated risks. Initial notification of issues that will potentially impact on client's business continuity to appropriate nominated client staff Contact required and identified third party service suppliers to attend incident Support the Fire Evacuation as per the agreed policy. Work flexibly as and when required including nights and weekends, notice will always be given. Follow all company procedures including following all company health and safety requirements and the use of computer equipment for processing work task information. Use competently computers and mobile phones to receive and record work information including hours worked on each work request. Ad hoc duties as requested by your management team. Maintain an effective and safe working environment. Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed accurately. Maintain effective customer and working relationship with all key staff in building. Ensure uniform is kept clean and presentable at all times Be first aid trained and carry out first aid duties Drive site based security vehicle Knowledge skills & experience Knowledge of general security procedures Must be SIA cleared with a good knowledge of security guarding Ability to take responsibility Work on own initiative with a proactive approach.
