Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

Introduction
Consciousness being the main stem of human existence and the mind being the
stemming root of consciousness calls for the need of human effort toward shaping the mind,in as much a manner as one would shape out a desired tree hence improving the attractiveness of ones yard.

Being one who has successfully shaped and reshaped the mind - the resilient mind so as to say, found it of utmost importance to put it down in writing in the hope of aiding some who might be finding the process tiresome and strenuously difficult to partake efficiently with the full hope that in one way or the other this original piece of self-experienced observations and solutions will be worth your attention.

The mind
With no clear-cut meaning the whole mind changing and mind shaping process
is prone to be as strenuous as trying to unlock a given padlock with no defined unlocking keys, rather leading to the whole [process being partly done as the possession of a restricted definition restricts other areas from being reshaped and developed. Some view the mind as part of the complex human central processing unit the brain, whilst others as the inner person which is secularly given the underdefining term-the heart, yet still it is viewed as the conscience by some. This kaleidoscope of views leads to just but one question-what really is the mind? Before the question is answered the truth that the answers is begottern from writers perception of its nurture-that is its rooted from the writers mind.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

In shaping my mind I ventured into more than the secular definition, venturing into change of perception, consciousness, thought, volition(act),intellect, opinion and the way one inclines his emotions towards. In providing the answer to the question I will some up the intellectually ignorant definitions and the intellectually begotten leading to the mind being defined as that faculty of the human being which gathers information, reason, and which draws conclusions, the field of the soul onto which thought is sown to flower deeds which are harvested as character. The mind being a faculty of the being of humans has various faculties inclusive of thinking faculties, reasoning faculties, intellectual capacity, mental perception, reson.intelligence, intention, remembrance, opinion, attitudes and behaviour.

The Nature of the mind

Insight on the definition reveals an axiomatic truth, that which is self-proving
that the mind truly is versatile. The mind truly acts like a data bank in information storage even surpassing human made data storage banks as nothing entering the mind is never truly deleted but needs the right stimulant to bring it back to memory unlike human made data recovery systems with limited accuracy and a limited time frame beyond which they are rendered useless, thus highlighting the immense need of careful scrutiny on what it is we are to allow to find a dwelling place on the non-forgetting mind of ours,as failure to do so might spoil or stain some of lifes mind-dwelling memories, the disruption which is likely to bleaken the once vivid future with a mere possibility of what a disease I believe to the most widespread than neither AIDS nor the common flue-stress:a patheological mind-fostered disease. The faculties of reason, intelligence, character and behavior truly act as a representative, a delegate of the mind bearing fine witness of the state and nature together with the nurture of the heart. Is not the mind like the wind that blows, tangible and invisible as it may be but visible upon other visible and tangible objects? Is not reason, intellect and character like the visible tangible objects directly influenced by intangibly invisible? Is it not true that the visible world is controlled by the invisible? Far from being like a delegate and data bank, the mind truly is like a sponge, acquiring and absorbing that which surrounds it, thus having a nature wholesomely influenced by its surroundings.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

In any particular cultivable field, there are inputs, processes and outputs,in as much a manner as those of the mind.Does not one sowing barley expect nothing more or less than pumping? In a like manner does not one cultivating good thoughts on his mind in a like manner expect nothing more or than good deed and character. Like the body whose up-building and nature whose outer environmental is determined by the inner, so is the mind. The mind is like some sort of system, having inputs(what we allow to reach the mind), processes(in which the inputs are transformed into the outputs of deeds, character, intellect and reason).

The process of change

That the mind is like a data bank implies that in desiring to alter or reshape of
this faculty is of a difficulty close to that of impossibility. Thus featuring in the invaluable aspect of acceptance, one that has been the key to my happiness from the day I initiated the process of change in mind. With this priceless aspect one can find eternal happiness as the gruesome aspects of heartache prior to a stressful life are over-written by acceptance. With acceptance one leads a peaceful and tranquil life.

Acceptance The aspect of acceptance needs not only be applied to the present but also to
that which is already seen- the past. For one can only lead a peaceful life prior to having brought the past and present at peace with each other, for failure to do as such prior to acceptance only of the present might equal the results of not being at peace with the present for true equity of the past and present is only achievable prior coming to peace with the former. Does not reaching the middle or end of the bridge require some dwelling on the steps prior to the one present? Acceptance is amongst the primary causes of peace of mind, for even failure to realize the anticipated leads not to unmet want. Hope might fade away, dreams might not come true, but, with acceptance the mind is maintained at equipoise. Acceptance should be aided with the hope for the best but expecting the worst for it to be successfully enjoyed. With acceptance one can realize his weaknesses, strengths and areas in need of change. Effort is enhanced by acceptance. With a readily accepting mind one can venture into any field, for preparedness of acceptance of any probable outcome is what uplifts one to the exquisite realms of activity. That our emotions are what make us complex beings is an unquestionable belief, thus, even acceptance takes not away feelings of hurt, downheartedness, sorrow, pity, grief and all sorts of desirable and undesirable human emotions.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

As humans we can not escape the consequences of our actions, be it with acceptance or being with being at peace with the either the present or the past or rather with any anticipation of the future, thus the need to accept and learn t olive in harmony with the present, with no dwelling too much on the past nor the future but concentrating the mind on the present. That the mind is a data bank with eternal memories should aid in our decision making as the pleasures of undertaking a certain activity might fall short of the horrors of tomorrow arising as the aftermath of the partaking. The only way to change the mind in its area of data storage is not two way, not far fetched, not based on altering the pre-existing information but rather changing that which has not transpired. We can do so merely by cautious scrutiny of our actions and of what we allow to enter the precious delicate mind. The process of changing the mind lies anywhere between change of any of the variables constituting the mind- character, deed, thought, reason, intellect, perception,,thus any change in any of the variables truly is a change of the mind. The aforementioned faculties which act as delegates of the mind are changeable in various ways. Reason, intelligence, thought and perception being primarily influenced and sprouting from that which is acquired and already on the mind can be changed by acquisition of matter that is favorable to the desired outcome, that is after the initial stage of personal research into what is desired and undesired in ones areas of concern. Of great importance in changing the mind is having faith and believing in the possibility of fruition of what you are aiming towards, this being in line with the common adage that as you thinketh, so are you.

Realization
Of symmetrical importance is the concept that I have found the greatest aid in
changing the mind and all other attributes of human nature is that of realization. This stretches from the personal arena and as to what your actions towards others yield. One needs firstly make realizations of himself-as to what he favors, prioritizes, dislikes, is fond of-his character before he can change it and all its attributes. For a successful knowledge of himself and his probable reputation one has to realize the effect and aftermath of his actions towards those whom he

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

associates with. This needs not be a momentary undertaking as human reaction to a given stimulus tends to be affected by environment-both internal and external-both of which with a nature of changing over a given time. The results obtained from this process is of momentous symmetrical importance to the data obtained prior to the statistical adjustments in varied sectors of a countrys socio-economic arenas, they tend to act as a foundation to which the process of change is based and built dependently on.

Reputation and character

That which is generally [thought of or said about you] by others defines nothing
more than your reputation. That it is what is thought of or said about you greatly sets a clear-cut difference between reputation and character, this being primarily so because character is the absolute opposite of reputation as it is [actually who you are]-your characteristics and qualities-not what is thought of you. Having brought this to light I postulate this rhetoric question-what is to be valued and strengthened: reputation or character? Needless of dwelling greatly on this topic I postulate that if you find this intellectual piece of writing of importance and acting as a stimulant or catalyst of the ever important need for change and if you try your level best to alter yourself to be a better person or to be the best you can be as I am currently working on achieving as Ive surpassed the initial better person stage you will realize that in your so doing the positive change in character might or will yield an equal or greater than proportionate change in reputation that is likely to be inclined to the negative, with the inclination to the positive being a least possible outcome. Would you allow a negative change in what is thought of and said of you affect the positive change in who you really are? Inclination of change to the positive of reputation does little in catalyzing change of character to the positive than the catalyst action of positive inclination in character to change in character. Whatever it is that is to be changed the inescapable truth is that the power of change lies in you.

Effect of peace of mind on the mind changing process

That peace of mind can never be truly achieved can certainly be accepted as a
legitimate theorem together with that it is of primary importance in achieving a positively inclined resultant in mind-set change. Can ones personal computer with internal irregularities be in a position to improve its functionality without primarily being relieved from the stimulus of irregularities which might be a virus, Trojan or any negative stimulus.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

Likewise the irregularities of the mind which reduce its functionality reduces the possibility of changing your mind as these like the Trojans and viruses in computers work in opposite interest with the positive stimulus of commands. Like the Trojan which gains access into a computer system by initially appearing to the user as attractive and user friendly programs and with time gain control of the system there are certain things in the human life that truly are non-essentials but cunningly deceive us to be fond of them and acquire them in our lives after which their negativity appears and our delay in combating them can have disastrous implications for the future. Stress, which I have come to view as a psychological an externally acquired but internally enhanced reducing agent to the functioning of the mind with physiological impacts can deeply and devastatingly drench and rip the mind of its peace thus the need to identify and implement strategic actions against the potential sources of stress together with taking each day as it comes, being not expecting over-much of the outcomes of a desirable outcome, standing firm on our resolves and allowing circumstances to alter our principles should the need come and knowing our strengths and weaknesses.

Effect of food on attitude and behavior.

The forthcoming psychoanalysis is based on that you are what you eat, let alone that your food shapes your behavior. Having been staff with various business entities I behold a strong personal conviction that the introductory to this topic is true in nature. In the days in which the least palatable meals were partaken during or before the work shift was engaged in the attitude toward work would be below par and hence behavior like wise and the opposite being equally true. The consumption of preferred and highly esteemed food makes way for the attitude and behavior of human beings, holding other things constant, to be at the apex point. At which point attitude toward work will be positive and behavior at the most favorable level. With this in mind one might best review his principles toward what he consumes, especially with the hope of undertaking some activity as the result might be very much dependant upon it. Of late in my organization of employment the importance of acquiring desirable food has been clearly highlighted by the differing levels of work motivation at different days meals as noticed by both verbal and non-verbal physical aspects of the employees. The negative commenting upon an employer-provided meal by a worker demotivates even those who had not given attention to the negative aspect of the meal where is the opposite is true.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

At this point I can truly give a testimony on the impact of food upon behaviour as I have observed that when a non-satisfying meal is provided by the employer my work related performance such as customer service tends to suffer directly or indirectly depending on the nature of the non-satisfaction. There is an undisputable relationship between psychological and physiological arenas of the human being. To simplify the proportionate increase in the satisfaction a human-being acquires is symmetrical to the their effort in satisfying others through their actions, in a salesperson their progressive incremental levels in the satisfaction of food they consume equals that a customer is likely to obtain from services acquired from them. The above is true since someone who might have consumed insufficient portions from the employer-apportioned portion might due maybe to an incremental level of staff being non-accompanied by a symmetrical increase in the food portions will have caused his service-provision diminishing point to be easily arrived at due to easily depleted energy prior to the relationship between food quantities and quality to energy levels. Should you ever come to manage people, remember this important relationship between motivation and performance to food.

The impact of dress-code on the mind-set. Picture this:

A man in grease-stained overalls with a shabby hair-do and one formally dressed and in the cover a white coat. Postulating that you are unwell and both are said to be capable of diagnosing you and that both are in possession of identical medical knowledge and tools which one would you prefer to be attended to by, or rather which one does your mind qualify as a legitimately capable medic? Needless to provide the answer to the hypothetical question I substitute the answer with the intended point: that your dress-code determines how people perceive you. To this extent its worth noting that the initial position you are positioned on someones mind determines their devotion to you together with their willingness in conversing with you as measured by their relative eye contact, their attentiveness together with their body language as relative body posture as leaning forward, uncrossed arms and nodding gestures instill a sense of willingness from whom you will be conversing with and symmetrically stifled yawns, heavy eyes and clenching and unclenching of fists instill a sense of boredom and frustration.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

Your dress-code is likely to play a significant part on the way in which you are likely to be position on peoples minds and it is of primary importance to dress in accordance to the event as it is not always being formally dressed that will enhance your being positively positioned on peoples minds; think of having someone putting on their pair of suits on an occasion like an outing on the lake shore, how do you position them especially given that the remainder is in beachwear? The essence of the importance of dress-code is that ones dress-code has too many a time known to provide a picture of their nature together with their probable character and in some cases such as that of one of my directors dresscode can show how one will be feeling and thus their likely reaction to a given stimulus such the prevalence of the widely accepted view that putting on a black dress-code implies either the probable likelihood of a funeral attendance or going through difficulty. I have come to realize that my dress-code is at times biased toward and influenced greatly by my emotions at any particular dress-changing period. Going out in a formal dress-code enhances my self-esteem, dignity and generally sense of completion together with my mood, my dominance and an unwavering position in a conversation let alone the resultant confidence and reducing my subjectiveness to being made inferior and consequently my reaction to certain given stimulus is also altered as my rationality and my likely possibility of taking a defensive position in the face of opposition increases accompanied by the proportionate logicalness increases. When casually-dressed my level of activeness is greater to that when formally dressed. Can you think of any aspect of your life that is altered by a change in dress-code? One area I have come to utilize the many beneficial dress-code attributes is that of helping to maintain focus on ones goals and desires. In spite of being primarily a warehouse-based employee I have recently switched my dress code from casual to formal in line with educational and professional prospects of being a procurement person sometime in the near future prior to realizing that being dressed like one allows me to see the possibility of my achieving my goal whereas casual dress-codes blurred my vision and sort of restrict my future vision to continuously being a warehouse person with no future procurement person views. Will not altering or rather changing your dress-code to fit the future you in the present help not lose sight of the future you?

Organizational ideology and the need for its change.

The widespread ideology in organizations that best ideas are obtained from those already within the organization merits more pros than cons as it can be agreed that ideas stem not from the duration one has been with the organization but sometimes as a result of natural intellect and coalition of ideas acquired from various areas save experience alone. In too many an organization efficiency and proficiency are greatly reduced as a resultant of brushing aside ideas from newly acquired persona. Organizational culture tend to have a long-term effect of reducing the probability of origination of new ideas sprouting out from pre-existing members of an organization as the probability of people being inclined toward being complacent in bringing up innovative ideas increases with the proportionate increase in their time-span with the organization. This is symmetrically true with accepting innovative ideas from new members. In organizations in which motivation and traceable development is low overtime the magnitude of being non-innovative and non-innovation takers is great. Thus the importance of insuring that you motivate and develop your workforce should you be in a position that requires you to manage the most important aspect of an organizations resource-its employees. My observation is that when people are put in a given system or environment they with time seem to be biased in their thinking by focusing their mindset only on processes and procedures that ensure continuity and not improvement of the given tasks in that given environment. Trying to alter the ideology of a given organization in which one will be a comember is as difficult as the process of change itself but success can arise from identifying the primary causes of and sources from which innovation is constricted and finding relative counter-measures, for example if it is stemming from a senior within the organization the counter can be a diligently subjective compliment to one of the seniors who is deemed to bring about the necessary change but highlighting the area of concern.

The role of circular quotes and sayings

Amongst the triads of secular quotes and sayings the focus will primarily be on two of which are detestable from every aspect before me but are as common as the common cold. The lead-feather saying that is now commonplace which is that everything happens for a reason has been for too long a time passed through our

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

11

auditorial systems, that is through our ears, with no deep thought being invested on its meaning. Taking the saying as it is its implication is nothing more than its saying, that is:that everything happens for a reason. But have you ever bought time to think of its implication and its effects? Divulging on the imlications of the saying I unearthed that it implies a predertermined life, which is directly in opposition of the nature of life:it being a non pre-determined one in accordance to The Creators Word. The negativity of the saying not only is in its contradicting The Creators Word but also to its effect on our behavioural character.Amongst the multitudes of people whom I came across who believe in the pre-determination of life I came to observe that they tend to be reduced in their putting effort in improving their lives as they believe that their lives are following a pre-set course which has a negative of limiting the enhancement and betterment of human welfare when capability and capacity for it is there.Such a people shamelessly end up living a carefree life as a consequence of the misconception. Is life pre-determined?Was it inscribed on my lifes course that I would write this book and inscribed on yours that you would read it today? For too a time the African child has enculcated a detrimental saying that goes as there is no need to hurry because we are two hours ahead of America. Circular quotations like these play a negative role in the development of the mind as a child who is continuously exposed to such common sayings is likely to have a mindset with a distorted view of life as he or she is probably to be inclined to view time as abundant. The likely consequence is that throughout their development the habit of procrastination is likely not only to develop but also to harden into character. The negative impact being a generation perceiving time as abundant with the likely consequent of retarded initiation technologically as their benchmark which is America evidently do not allow themselves to retard their way of life as a consequence of being behind a developing country Zimbabwe. I thus can postulate that in spite of our (African countries populations which are ahead in terms of time) perceiving that time is abundant the Americans which we have come to take as our benchmark for the rate at which we partake of our activities do not hold such a view on time but view is as scarce. Thus in no need of further deepening into the effects of secular sayings it can hence be concluded that it is detrimental to allow them to influence oneself and having shed light on this dark part the onus is on you to choose the depth to which you will allow them to influence you as it can be argued that not all are detrimental. That not all are detrimental calls for nothing more than a welltrained and developed discretion.

Concluding comments
Amongst the hardest of processes one can undertake successfully is that of changing the mind-the sole reason being that many do not accept the nature of the process-that it is gradual not instantaneous. I have seen in my course of life many with a potential of achieving the goal of change dying along the way solely because of this failure. In the light of peer pressure and in allowing or desiring an external part to influence him or herself one does well to reflect on this truth that:each man is the master of his own destiny, and, also that allowing someone to make a decision for you at times in which you appear to be not able to make a decision means that you will have in actuality made a decision:that of allowing someone to make a choice for you, thus the importance of being dependant in all necessary conditions but being resilient as some situations call for counsel from others. That great achievements take time is the lesson that one desiring change should have in mind before and during the process, let alone that it is a secular process as it is never truly ending. It takes a lot of faith to believe a sling-shot can turn a nation into a superpower. The powering principle behind this quote-that there is possibility in everything should one possess faith-is true with changing the mind. The value of effort and determination is fully explicit in my most beloved and highly esteemed quote that effort is rewarding, determination is key. With effort but not beholding determination or vice-versa, no positive or rather desirable result is to be expected, as the two are truly dependant upon each other and are what economists would coin perfect compliments-those that are best used jointly. Since the need and power for change stems from the same mind that beholds undesired thoughts and faculties it is truly evident that change is possible for if it was not, then the realization of the undesired let the will to change would never spring from the mind. Having reached my desirable goals in changing the mind I have come to learn that setting goals is crucial to the success or attainment of a desired quality, that success is to be measured against goals not other peoples success, let alone that complexity stems from simplicity thus the need to aim at changing the simple things in life and that by so doing you will be changing the complex. It takes twenty years to achieve an overnight success; effort is rewarding, determination is key, the power lies in you.

Gaddiel Tatenda Chitakas -The Cultivable Mind

Resting my analysis I postulate that ``you have to feel success to realize it let alone that one is not a failure until he accepts he is, also that who seeks after it should inhibit strong perseverance as the road to success is not an easy one. The power is yours

About the Author

Born in the hunger stricken year of 1992 on a beautiful Wednesday of the first month of the year to be named Gaddiel Tatenda Chitaka the author came to be the fifth born in a God-fearing family which would eventually be of six. Having been in a bigfamily together with being naturally observative developed an enormous passion for psychology and upon recording his findings in the hope of changing the world around as he is beyond doubt convinced that a minor positive change in the mind is an enormous leap for humanity to a better world. To this day the author has a collection of short books he wrote and developed over the past years including his initial book in the field of his passion which he termed The Human Mind Under The Scope he primarily upon entering into the dynamic process of puberty, the book which primarily focused on issues and occurances which are common place amongst teenagers inclusive of overviews of love, crushes and the inclusion of his experiences as a new kid in the block of adolescence never was fully developed prior to its being shallow on originality as most of the data was sourced from other publications which opposed the authors mission of originality which he has since put into effect commencing with The Cultivable Mind-by Gaddiel Tatenda Chitaka. Next in the line of the fruition of ideas was Harphazard which is a collection of the authors observations and ideas occurring haphazardly throughout the book. The book of which was simultaneous written in the period of the writing of the Cultivable Mind is yet to be developed and put into a digital copy in spite of it being the first to be accomplished. The third and likely most controversial writing is Homosexuality Unearthed, which is a book primarily taking a glimpse on the lives of homosexuals with focus being mainly on the causes of homosexualiy. The

Homosexuality book was inspired by the authors encounters with homosexuals in his life and hes findings on them. The authours burning passion for recording hes findings is increasing in intensity thus the author envisions 20 or more books throughout the course of his life and about three more by the end of this God-blessed year of 2011 which is the year which saw the completion of The Cultivable Mind-by Gaddiel Tatenda Chitaka after about two years of writing with the delay of completion being prior to being at times technically handi-capped and being drenched into the education system in the hope of a better tomorrow. At the current point in time the author is buying hes time which he was supposed to be either studying hes best inspired writing [which is non other than the book from the Creator, the book which has helped him to achieve a fruition in changing to being the best man he can be,the Bible],or studying hes current Purchasing and Supply (Certificate) studies with The Institute Of Purchasing and Supply in the hope of a better tomorrow.

The authors Personal Analysis

Having exploited the explorable part of this life of mine I have seen thus far I deem it necessary to put down in writing the notable things I have observed overly. Unlike love which has proved to be a perfect resemblance of a shadow in that upon my following it-it flees ,but upon my fleeing from searching for it- it follows, the process of changing the mind to the better is far from this in that should I search for it I tend to get a firm grip on it but upon fleeing from searching for it -it flees. This observation has led me to be forever chasing after my betterment as I have come to realize that effort is rewarding and determination is key.To ensure that I keep in line with my realization I took the initial step of inscribing the realization as my mobile phones welcome note and subsequently on my business plans,my literature and as a status message to all my social-networking sites profiles. These steps futile as they may appear have helped me to stay focused on being determined to be the best I can wherever I might be. Being a captive of my own identity I am entitled to protect my reputation on all grounds as the seemingly insignificant blurring of reputation can have lasting unfavorable effects on peoples minds as reputation plays an essential part in the way we are positioned on peoples minds. What I have come to value is the passion to know myself truly as I can outline that knowing myself enhances my ability to have a love for myself and equally improves my relationships with other beings.Knowing myself has helped to understand my actions in given situations,to know my internal and intricate emotions and the reasons behind them and also helped in setting my guiding principles.Overally knowing myself has enhanced my innermost happiness and tranquility,it has helped me to become at peace with my inner being and has helped me in my social relationships.

On this 16th day of July,a sunny Saturday the blessed year of 2011 I rest my effort in writing this short book by finishing off with this statement. Only you can shape your destiny, the possibility exists and the power is yours.
