QUICK
GUIDE
LOGGING INTO THE COPIER

1. Tap the white field under “User Name”A. A keyboard will appear.
2. Tap in your username (same username to log into computers. For example:
EEagle) B, then tap OK.

3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for your password D&B. Use the Shift Key C for upper case
letters and special characters..
a. Note: If password fails try typing your password again, but slower. If it
continues to fail contact the Technology Assistance Center at x6900 or
by email technology-assistance@edgewood.edu.
4. Tap Log In.

1. If you have only one billing code setup, click “OK” and skip steps 2-4.

3. Tap “Start Searching” .
a. Note: If you have access to more than 12 billing codes, please type in your billing

code in the field “Search Text”, including hyphens .

4. Under Search Results, tap the desired billing code to highlight it and then click Select .
a. If the desired billing code does not show up or the wrong billing code is listed you
may either repeat step 3, or contact the Technology Assistance Center at x6900 or
by email technology-assistance@edgewood.edu.

REDUCE OR ENLARGE COPY SIZE

1.) Select the “Copy Ratio” button A.


2.) Select either a preset ratio key and /or use the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ keys to adjust by one
percent increments and select the done key.

PAPER SIZE / DRAWER SELECTION

1. The word “Auto” appears above the “Paper Select” key to indicate the copier
will detect the size of the original being copied. If a different paper source is
desired, press the “Paper Select” keyA and choose a paper drawer.
2. Click “Done” when finished.

Adjusting exposure levels and selecting text / photo modes.

The Default setting, (A)UTO exposure and Text/Photo/Map mode is shown above. This
setting will provide suitable results for most originals.

If you would like to temporarily adjust your copies exposure lighter or darker please choose the
keys located on either side of the (A) auto exposure key. Right side to lighten, Left side to
darken the print.

Photo Mode can be selected using the text key located below the auto exposure key. Selecting
Text will open a menu offering the Photo mode. This mode will clearly copy photos in black
and white.

TWO SIDED COPIES

1. Select the “2-Sided” buttonA.


2. Select 1 to 2 sided if originals are printed on one side and desired copies
will be copied on both sides.
3. Select 2 to 2 sided if the originals have print on both sides and desired
copies should also be printed on both sides.

COLLATING (sorting) and STAPLING

1. To Collate or Staple, choose the “Finishing” keyA.


2. Tap “Staple” and select stapling options if offered and select done.
3. Collating is automatically selected when inserting originals in the
Document feeder.

SCANNING & SENDING (Document to PDF)

1. First tap Send A.


2. Tap either “E-mail” (if you want to send the document to someone other
than yourself), or “Send to Myself” B.
a. If you selected “E-Mail” then on the next window tap on the white
field next to E-mail Address C.

3. In the Scan Settings section, you can choose the resolution for the scan. A
common choice is “Clr/Gray 300x300”, which will allow for optical
character recognition within Acrobat. To change the setting, press the down
arrow D next to the “Clr/B&W 200x200” setting. Note: on the drop-down

choice menu that appears, you may need to press the down arrow at the
bottom of the menu to scroll to the “Clr/Gray” choices.
4. When finished press the green Go button E.
5. If you are scanning a book or have more originals, continue to press the Go
button after replacing each original. Otherwise, press Done.
6. A PDF version of the document will arrive to your own Edgewood email
address or whatever other address that you specified.

LOGGING OFF

1. When finished using the copier please log out of the copier by pressing the
ID button A.

NOTE: The copier has been setup to automatically log off after two
minutes of inactivity.
