Fighters Guild Constitution

1. Name This organization shall be known as the Fighters Guild (hereafter referred to as the Guild) 2. Objects The object of the Club is to: a. Provide a positive environment for University of New Brunswick, University of Saint Thomas and NBCC students to enjoy tabletop and pen and paper games; b. Promote the development of skills necessary to facilitate such games; c. Provide members of the Guild with an apportunity for social development and networking. 3. Membership There shall be only one class of membership in the Club, referred to as Members. Membership in the Guild shall be open to all full-time undergraduate UNB, STU and NBCC students as defined by their respective Academic Calendars, but shall not be exclusively limited to those students. 4. Membership Criteria Membership shall commence after the following criteria is met: a. 3 Meetings have been attended b. School information has been shared 5. General Meetings The Executive will decide before the end of September each year where and when the meetings shall take place for a regular scheduling. 6. Officers

At least 50% of the Groups Executive Officers shall be Members of the UNB & STU Student Union. Where any executive officer does not take office, resigns, or is dismissed, the remaining Executive Officers shall appoint by two thirds majority vote a Member in good standing to fill such vacancy.

7. Officers a. President The President shall: o Provide direction and leadership for the club, as well as promotion of the objectives stated herein. Be official spokesperson for the Club Fulfill and perform those duties as many be required to achieve the objectives of the Club.

b) Vice President The Vice President shall: o o Fulfill the duties of the president in his or her absence Organize the annual meeting

c) Secretary The Secretary shall: o o o o Report to the president Maintain this constitution. Keep the mailing list in order. Keep records of desired expenses and current funds.

8. Elections & Voting All Members, including Executive Officers, shall have one vote. Where only one candidate is nominated for a particular position, the ballot for that position shall be in the form of a yes/no vote. A voting member shall be one who is in accordance with the guidelines set forth in section 3 and 4 of this constitution. Call for elections must be posted two weeks prior to the election being held.

9. Fiscal Year The fiscal year of the club shall begin on the first day of may in each year and shall terminate on the last day of April in the following year. 10. Amendment Notice of motion indicating the intention of any proposed change to this constitution is required two weeks in advance of the meeting at which any proposed change is to be discussed. Such notice shall be posted in conspicuous places where it is expected that a majority of members may take notice of the proposed changes. Amendments shall be accepted only after at least 2/3 of the members of the club voting at a meeting where 50%+1 of the members are present. Last but not least, the constitution requires authentication from at least two signing authorities. ENACTED this 8th day of April, 2009
