History:
Gourmet a name that no needs to introduction at least for people living in Lahore with over 98 outlets throughout the city and still growing.it was started with single outlet in Ichra in 1987 by Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Chathha he started his business through getting employees from Shehzan bakers in the beginning. Gourmet produces a wide variety of bakery items, sweets and dairy products and offers high quality services in their restaurants. Gourmet has introduced many new items in bakery products categories which were previously not in the market of Lahore. Gourmet stresses hard on q u a l i t y a n d
t a s t e o f t h e i r p r o d u c t s a n d m a k i n g t h e m a f f o r d a b l e f o r their customers at the best prices in the market. T h e c o m p a n y h a s s h o w n a n e x p l o s i v e a n n u a l g r o w t h o f m o r e t h a n 25% till 2006 in its business since this unique business was started in1992. Recently gourmet shows 65% of annual growth in its business from 2006 to 2011.W ith his commitment and strenuous effort to provide the consumers with best quality food products in a convenient a n d u n m a t c h e d d i s p l a y i n g manner, Gourmet has become a success story of business growth in Pakistan. At the m o m e n t G o u r m e t h a s more than 4500 employees working in the organization.

ENVIRONMENT:
A scan of the external macro-environment in which the firm operates can be expressed in terms of the following factors: The acronym PEST (or sometimes rearranged as "STEP") is used to describe a framework for the analysis of these macro environmental factors. CORPORATE CULTURE:
Gourmets Corporate Culture possesses an autocratic style as all the major decisions are made by the management without considerable consultancy of employees. The manager is used to give instructions. They tell employees what to do instead of asking for their opinion on the matter in hand. The managers (Mr. Riana Chaudire, Dubai and Syed Ali Raza Navy) are the only persons contributing to the decision making process in the business. The work environment is dynamic and friendly, never a dull moment at Gourmet. They have a small and casual team, but ver y professional a b o u t t h e i r d u t i e s . G o u r m e t i s o n e o f l a r g e s t g r o u p o f f o o d c h a i n i n Lahore and thus endless potential to learn and to grow. Population of the Pakistan is on rise where as the health consciousness among the people is also lot more than it has been in the past. Social factors include the demographic and cultural aspects of the external macro environment. These factors affect customer needs and the size of potential markets. Some social factors include: health consciousness population growth rate age distribution career attitudes emphasis on safety

International Elements:
Gourmet have no foreign competitor because he works only in Pakistan.In which Pakistan there are many competitor.

Internal Environment

Customer:
Gourmet customer are local people of Pakistan. For the lasting few year the number of customer increased with the rate of 65% per year.at the bagging point gourment cutomer rate increase at 25% per year..Mostly her customer founded in Lahore and secondly in Fasilabad.

Client:
There are many client of Gourmet in Pakistan who purchased on daily bases.i write down some regularly clients of Gourmet all of them I personaly know. Zafar super store ( PIA Society Lahore) Awias Super Store ( Township Lahore) Haris Drink corner ( Okara)

Competitor:
There are many competitor of Gourmet in market.But Gourmet survive well. If we discussed only the Lahore city,gourmet has a large num of comptetor in market.like as: Pepsi Coca cola Cakes & Bakes

Supplier:
At the Begging Gourmet purchased her raw material from many supplier.But now Gourmet mostly produced raw material by own.

Labour Supply:
In Gourmet there are more then 4500 labour worked.mostly of the labour is educated.on the service point Gourmet hire qualified staff.
