RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. To be eligible for participation in the competition, all participants are required to adhere to this
set of rules and regulations as stipulated by the organizers.

2. This competition is open to all Singapore citizens, permanent residents and all locally-based
registered students of vocational institutes/ITEs, junior colleges, centralized institutes,
polytechnics, tertiary institutions. QU

3. Participants must not have professional background in apparel design or receive the help
from professional designers.

4. Participation is on a first-come-first-serve basis. All registration forms must be duly

completed, signed and submitted to the organizers by 10th July 2009.

5. No cancellation is allowed after submission of the registration form.

6. Applicants can participate in this competition as an individual or as a group. (Maximum 4

persons)

7. Participants will be allowed to use their own additional items as long the base item we
provided makes up 70% of the outfit. For the second outfit, you are allowed to use any fabric
of your choice.

8. All participants are required to bring their own models to display their outfits.

9. All designs must be completed before 1st August 2009, as no sewing equipment / facilities will
be provided on the day of the competition.

10.The Organizing Committee is not liable for any injuries and damages during the participants’
preparation period.

11.The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the competition rules without any
prior notice.

12.Participants who do not adhere by the rules would be disqualified.

Competition Prizes

The cash and prizes for the different categories are as follows:

Judging Criteria

1. Teams will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the organizers. The decision of the
panel is final and no correspondences or enquiries will be entertained.

2. The judging criteria and points allocations are as follows:

Clarity of “Green” Theme 30
Creativity 20
Intricacy and detail of design 30
Usage of given materials 20
Total 100

The organizers reserve the right to change, amend or withdraw any of the rules and regulations
stipulated without prior notice.

Pre-competition Briefing

1. A pre-competition briefing for all participants will be held exactly 1 week before the
competition, on 25 July 2009.

2. The venue of the meeting will be confirmed on a later date.
