Synthesis Questions Read Due Select two articles that we have read this semester that deal with a similar issue but perhaps make different claims (for example, Tanner encouraged memorization to help with learning while Plummer rejected it). Draft (or revise) summaries (250 words +/- 5) for each article. You have already written summaries for most articles, so you should start with these drafts.
11/1
However, you may need to revise them to show how the articles deal with the same issue. Write an analysis of each article based on ethos, pathos, and logos. Since the analysis section of this paper should be 2-3 pages, you cannot develop this section as thoroughly as you did in the Analysis Paper. Instead focus your analysis on the appeal the author relies on most in the article. You have written mini-analyses for several different essays. Use them if they will fit. MyCompLab: Student Resources > Grammar > Punctuation and Mechanics > Semicolons and Colons: o Watch the video on Common Errors: Semicolon (misuse) o Read the item called Semicolons to Separate Main Clauses o Complete the exercise called B/ISemicolons vs. Commas
