Row 3 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as first dc),
2 dc in same sc, [sc in top of 5-dc
cl, shell in next sc] rep across, end-
ing with 3 dc in last sc, change yarn
color, turn.
Rep Rows 2 and 3 until afghan meas-
ures approximately 40 inches, end-
ing after 1 row with A, fasten off.
Border
Rnd 1 (RS): Attach A with a sl st to
upper right-hand corner of afghan, ch
1, 173 sc across top edge of afghan,
3 sc in corner st, 187 sc evenly sp
across left-hand edge of afghan, 3 sc
in next corner, 173 sc along opposite
side of foundation ch, 3 sc in corner,
187 sc along rem side edge of
afghan, 3 sc in corner, join in beg sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, [sc in next sc, ch 3, sk
