6 PETALED FLOWER BRACELET free pattern of Lia Govers

- or necklace or belt

This bracelet is crocheted in ONE PIECE only. And because the flowersparts are only 4 cm large (and long each), I believe this bracelet turned out better than my previous flower bracelet : with less larger flowerparts the borders will not tend to curle up while fitting your wrist. This bracelet takes less work then my flower bracelet because made in one piece only. NOTE: This bracelet here is 19,5 cm long, including the buttonhole. It is 4 cm large. This one can fit wrists of 18-19 cm. For smaller or larger sizes (it could become also a necklace or even a belt), note that each flowerpart = 4 cm long, so take your own measures with this date. Each motif is based upon 4 + 7 ( = 11) chains of the basic chainline, except the final turn where the motif is made of 4 + 3 (= 7) chains. Is you take your own adaptive measures, anyway always start and end your bracelet like written in this pattern. Materials needed: a hook nr. 1,5, a thicker thread good for hook nr. 2 (mine is Alma Cabl 5), a button, a needle. DMC thread n.10, I believe, is not thick enough... Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, sc, dc, 4-treble crochet all closed together. Crochet a chainline of 51 chains, BUT while crocheting your chains, at the 4th of each 11 chains turn and crochet a dc inside the first of the four chains: I mean: crochet 4 chains, then crochet a dc inside the first chain (= a hole or ring created) and than continue with your chainline, adding further 7 chains. Then count again other 4 chains, turn and crochet a dc inside the first chain (of this second count or motif) and so on. In any case end your basic line with 4 chains, a dc inside the first of these 4 chains and then crochet only 3 chains. 1 row: turn and crochet a dc inside the first ring or hole, * 2 chains in the air, 4 treble crochet all closed together in one solution, 4 chains in the air, 4 tr all closed together , 4 chains in the air, 4 tr all closed together, 2 chains in the air, skip 3 chains of your basic line and crochet a sc in the following chain.* 2 Chains in the air, 4 tr all closed together inside the following hole or ring and repeat all the steps ( motif) made (* to *) during this first row. So in this row each flowerpart will be made of 3 petals. At the end of the 1 row crochet only your 3 petals (and not the 2 chains + sc because there is no basic line any more to crochet them upon). 2 row: 4 chains in the air, turn all around the bracelet, crochet 4 tr all closed together (= 1 petal) , 4 chains in the air, 4 tr all closed together, 4 chains in the air, 4 tr all closed together, 2 chains in the air, skip again 3 chains of the basic line and crochet a sc just above the sc of the 1 row. And go ahead with the same motifs like done in the 1 row.

In your last flowerpart of this row crochet only 2 petals, 2 chains in the air, slip stitch on the top of what result to be the very first 2 dc. Here you can crochet your buttonhole or ring now. [I myself changed my buttonring into a buttonhole and proceeded in this way: I slip stitched around the top until I reached the 1 petal of the 1 row, then crocheted 6 chains in the air, turned and slip stitched to the other side of the top to reach there the first 4 chainline. I turned again and crocheted 9 sc inside this buttonhole and slip stitched to the other side.] For other buttonring take a look at my other free patterns. 3 row: From here on continue back all around your bracelet and crochet a border of sc + slip stitches like this: 4 sc in each 4-chainline, 2 sc in each 2-chainline, and only slip stitches on the top of each petal (or 4-tr-closed-together) and on the top of each sc. Slip stitch to the end or to your buttonring or hole. Fasten off. Sew away the threads left and sew your button at the other side.

For a belt-version the thread can be thicker, like your hooksize too.
