Offensive Playbook Notes

30 Series QB reverse pivot on all plays (Opens away from TBs initial direction) 30 designates that the TB is receiving the ball Man blocking schemes Lead - tells the FB that he/she is the lead blocker Counter - tells the TB that there is a change of Direction and a pull blocker from the line Toss - tells the TB that he is receiving a pitch from the QB Pro - is a prefix to designate play action pass 40 Series QB opens to play 40 designates that the TB is receiving the ball Zone blocking schemes Lead - tells the FB or Slot that he/she is the lead blocker BOB - tells the FB or Slot to Block on Backside of play Pro - is a prefix to designate play action pass 10 Series QB is running the ball Power - tells the backs to lead block End around - tells the end he/she is receiving a handoff going the opposite direction of play 50 Protection Three player protection, usually the three linemen unless an End is put into pattern Patterns are given to the field strength first from closest to the QB to furthest and then to the weak side from inside out Allow free blitzer to come from call side (i.e. 51 protection, ensure that the right side is blocked and QB can see pass rusher) 50/51 designates a drop back pass 58/59 designates a roll out pass 60 Protection Four player protection, usually the three linemen unless an End is put into pattern Patterns are given to the field strength first from closest to the QB to furthest and then to the weak side from inside out The TB blocks away from the call protecting QBs backside If FB is in protection and End is in pattern the FB replaces the End Allow free blitzer to come from call side (i.e. 61 protection, ensure that the right side is blocked and QB can see pass rusher) 50/51 designates a drop back pass 58/59 designates a roll out pass Offensive Numbered Holes 9 5 3 1 0 2 4 6 8
