ANALYTICAL ABILITY AND LOGICAL REASONING: (50 questions)

The questions in this section will cover logical reasoning and quantitative
aptitude. Some of the questions will be on comprehension of a logical situation
and questions based on the facts given in the passage.

COMPUTER AWARENESS: (15 questions)

Computer Basics: Organization of a Computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU),


Structure of instructions in CPU, input / output devices, computer memory, back-up
devices.

Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary


and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and two�s complement arithmetic,
floating point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn
diagrams.

GENERAL ENGLISH: (15 questions)

Questions in this section will be designed to test the candidates� general


understanding of the English language. There will be questions on the following
topics.

Comprehension, Vocabulary, Basic English Grammar (like usage of correct forms of


verbs, prepositions and articles), Word power, Synonyms and Antonyms, Meanings of
words and phrases, Technical writing.

A pass in any recognised Bachelor�s Degree of minimum 10+2+3 years duration in any
discipline with core Mathematics at +2 school level. (Or) Mathematics / Statistics

PATTERN

The Question paper will have 100 objective type questions in 2 hours duration.
SYLLABUS
The Question Paper will be designed to test the capability of the candidates in

There may also be a few questions on verbal activity, basic sciences etc.
Candidates have to answer 100 objective type questions in 2 hours. Each question

While evaluating the answers, one mark is awarded for each correct answer and 1/3
mark is deducted for each wrong answer. No deduction will be made for questions
left unanswered. Multiple shading will be considered as wrong answer and 1/3 mark
will be deducted.

The question paper shall comprise of 200 questions to be answered in 3 hours time.
All the questions shall be objective type with 4 possible answers out of which
only one shall be the correct answer. The candidate has to mark the option which
in his opinion is correct as shown in the sample OMR answer sheet to score the

Each question shall carry 4 marks for correct answer. For every incorrect answer
one mark shall be deducted. If a question has not been attempted no credit will be
given.
