Honda Brunei launches the new Amaze sedan to satisfy the needs of many

different customers

automobiles in Brunei Darussalam, today officially launch the new 1.2-litre Amaze small car sedan,
the Hondas second small car based upon the original Brio model.

sedan that is distinctive with full specifications and available at a very affordable price. More

The grand concept for the new Amaze is Smart Micro Limousine which reflects values of stylish
design, compactness, maneuverability and class leading space. The new Amaze design takes
Hondas "man maximum machine minimum concept to a new level, maximizing the space available
for people and minimizing the space required for mechanical components. The efficient packaging
of Amaze adopts a right balance between rear occupant space and trunk room which helps to
achieve one class above interior space with significantly superior knee clearance, head clearance &
leg room inside cabin and offers a class leading boot space of 400L accommodating 2 pieces of
medium size luggage and 2 pieces of small size luggage.
In terms of utility, the new Amaze offers convenient storage space located all around. While the
front offers a capacious glove compartment and cup holders & bottle holders in the doors and
centre console, smart packaging has enabled bottle holder located in the rear doors to
accommodate a 1-litre size beverage bottle for pleasant drive experience.
The front grille design and aerodynamic body colour bumper emphasize the sporty image of the
car and its wider shape and concave cut profile provides a premium image.
The excellent all round visibility of new Amaze through slender cross section of front pillars,
downward- extended side window frame and low-positioned door mirror enhance drivers
confidence when turning and driving on narrow streets. Well-arranged speaker box and head rest
position also provides optimum rear visibility.
The new Amaze features a McPherson strut suspension in the front and H-shaped torsion beam
rear suspension for stable road handling, excellent road holding ability and comfortable ride. The
Electric Power Steering (EPS) delivers easy steering at low speeds and stable steering at higher
speeds for a natural, stress-free steering feel.
Powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, 88 PS@6,000 rpm i-VTEC engine, the new Amaze
offers fun driving and unrivalled fuel economy. The Amaze features a unique ECO Lamp that shines
green during fuel-efficient driving mode.
The new Amaze is equipped with a host of features for added convenience. The new seat height
adjuster has been developed to help provide a comfortable driving position which allows
adjustment of seat height position up to 50mm.
The new Amaze is competitive priced that provides great value for money and is factory-fitted
with sporty alloy wheels, front fog light and power retractable door side mirrors with turn
indicators. The newly designed alloy wheel with solid cut design makes the wheel look bigger and
delivers dynamic and elegant driving performance.
Other standard features include keyless entry, power windows front and rear, electrically
adjustable door side mirrors, tilt adjustable steering wheel, steering-mounted audio control
switch, integrated USB and AUX-in audio system and rear centre armrest with cup holders.
The new Amaze comprehensive safety features include a G-force Control (G-CON) technology
safety body structure. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering
TM
(ACE) body enhances
self-protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles in the event of a collision. The front body
structure of the new Amaze is equipped with pedestrian injury mitigation technology designed to
absorb impact energy. Like the front, the rear also has a shock absorbing structure which protects
occupants in case of a rear crash.
The new Amaze features a host of Hondas active and passive safety technologies including Dual
SRS airbags, Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) which prevents wheel locking and Electronic Brake
Distribution (EBD) which enhances braking performance. The driver-side features the latest
technology i-SRS airbag system with continuously staged inflation which can accommodate a broad
range of occupant positions and potential collision situations.
Other safety features include impact-mitigating headrests and front 3-point ELR pretentioner seat
belts system with load limiters that pre-emptively tighten the belt to prevent the occupant from
jerking forward in a crash while limiting the load placed on the chest area.
The new Amaze is available in 5-speed manual and 5-speed auto transmission. It comes in five
colours including Taffeta White, as well as Crystal Black Pearl, Carnelian Red Pearl, Alabaster Silver
Metallic and Urban Titanium Metallic.
