BTW,learnedsomethingnewinmyplantpropagationclassthisquarter!Wehaveallbeenusingthe vocabword'Phenotype'improperlyforthemostpart!A'Genotype'isthegeneticvariationresulting fromgrowingplantsfromseed,andeveryseedisadifferentgenotype,eveniftheyenduplookingthe sameorverysimilar!A'Phenotype'isthecharacteristicofthatplantthatarebasedonthatplants environment,temp,soil,nutrients,etc...So,forexample,Alien'sFPOG,wouldbebothagenotypeand aphenotype,butnoonewhopurchasedFPOGseedswillever(basedondefinition)beabletofindthe sameGenotypeasAlienhasinhisstable,andevenMakinGoo(givenoriginalclone)mostlikelywill neverbeabletofindthesamePhenotype,becausephenotypeisbasedonenvironment,andsoany variablesthatarenotidentical,willresultinaslightlydifferentphenotype!Andthereforeevenwhen sharingclones,wearetechnicallyonlysharing'Genotypes',not'Phenotypes',becausethosecloneswill producedifferentphenotypesindifferentenvironments,evenwithidenticalgenetics!
