The world of Safe Drinking Water regulation and implementation is becoming ever more complex. Whether its fully understanding the Lead in Drinking Water Act, Disinfection By-Products, the Surface Water Treatment Rule, the Groundwater Rule or the whole issue of conducting sanitary surveys, this two-day course will provide the information you need to keep you and your water system in compliance. Presentations will cover key provisions of both federal and state Safe Drinking Water Act regulations and will address critical issues that will impact water industry professionals in 2014 and beyond. Specic topics will include practical implementation of Safe Drinking Water regulations, tools available to implement sanitary surveys and maintain compliance with the Groundwater Rule, Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring and future requirements included in the revised Total Coliform Rule. With an eye to the future, the program will contain information on the increasing importance of resiliency standards, asset management and succession planning all items needed to assure the long term viability of water treatment and distribution systems. In addition, information on the types of project funding available from the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust to nance and implement capital improvement plans will be presented. This program has become an annual event, attended by veteran drinking water professionals and newcomers alike and is always a sell-out, so register today! NJDEP personnel will be available onsite on both days to answer individual questions and address water system concerns.
