Major Pentatonic

This is a five-note scale, and it differs from the diatonic major scale in that two notes (the fourth and seventh) are left out. This scale is often used in jazz and blues.

The Blues Scale is the same as the minor pentatonic, but with an added flattened fifth. Bending strings up to the notes in this scale is the key to getting a good "bluesy" sound.

This is a minor mode. It's like the natural minor scale, but the sixth is sharpened. Play this mode with unaltered minor chords.
