60 mm Mortar Bombs of NATO standard

Basic parts of the 60 mm mortar bomb are the bomb body filled with active substance which may contain either explosive or smoke composition, the nose fuze and the fin stabilizer assembly. Bomb body consists of the steel body with nose cap to which the nose fuze is screwed. Bomb body is filled with the charge according to the type of bomb. Calibre fin stabilizer is screwed at the rear part of the bomb. Fin stabilizer ensures reliable lead of the bomb in the barrel and bomb stability during flight. Stabilizer comprises duralumin pressure case with six fins made of highly resistant plastic material manufactured by pressure injection method. Primary charge is placed in the pressure case enclosed by the primer screw P-1. Augmenting charge enabling higher range values is attached to the stabilizer. In case of an operation at the short distance this charge may be easily removed from the mortar bomb stabilizer. Mortar bombs are delivered to the customer filled with both primary and augmenting charges sealed in water-proof plastic case. Mortar bombs are packed in a wooden case, each case contains 10 pieces of mortar bombs.

60 mm mortar bomb HEF, HEI and SMK

Bomb body is filled with TNT explosive for the HEF bomb (standard high-explosive) or with HTX explosive (EBX type enhanced blast explosive) for the HEI bomb and with the smoke composition based on the red phosphor (RP) for the Smk bomb. All these bombs are equipped with the nose fuze PDSQ according to NATO standards, e.g. DM 111 A5, M111 B1, AR-MDH or MZ 95 A1 and interchangeable.

60 mm mortar bomb ILL

Construction of the illuminating bomb is based on the other types of our mortar bombs. In order to keep the price of the illuminating bomb at the same level as standard ammunition the bomb is of a completely original design without the expensive time mechanical fuze. Ejection of the illuminating flare is initiated by pyrotechnic train from the propellant charge ignition once the period determined by ballistics has elapsed. The 60 mm illuminating bombs with flares on the parachute with the range of approx. 600 m, flare burning time min. 20 seconds and luminous intensity over 250 000 Cd enable illumination of an area near the base, checkpoint, etc. especially at night. They also enable identification of activities in the surrounding area deterring in human and non-lethal way the eventual but not foe persons and after that recognize movement of an enemy and ensure his elimination by live ammunition.

60 mm mortar bomb PRACT and TRAIN

The 60 mm practice mortar bomb Pract is intended for the mortar gunners to practice fire. This mortar bomb has the same ballistic characteristics as live ammunition. Bomb body is filled with signal composition and point detonating super-quick fuze mz 35/36 2000. Signal composition designates the impact point of the bomb in the terrain. The 60 mm training mortar bomb Train is intended for the initial training of the mortar gunners, especially to practice preparation of weapon and ammunition for firing, loading, aiming and launching. Mortar bomb is reusable; the bomb is ejected from the barrel by means of TEMPO 6 cartridge which is placed in the fin stabilizer of the bomb. Change of the cartridge is performed by unscrewing the fin part of the stabilizer, removing the fired cartridge shell and inserting new cartridge into the ammunition chamber of the stabilizer.
