Virginia hendersons need theory: Virginia hendersons need theory PowerPoint Presentation: Virginia Avenel Henderson was born on march 19,1897,in Kansas City, Missouri; she died on November 30,1996,when she was 98 years old. During her life time and more than 60-year career as a nurse, teacher, author, and researcher PowerPoint Presentation: Henderson made such significant contributions to the discipline of nursing that she has been referred to by some as the Florence Nightingale of the twentieth century Hendersons interest in nursing began during World War I and grew out of her desire to help the sick and wounded in the military.
