The White Dress: In Color is a collection of dramatic visual stories from around the world, meant to inspire in a market saturated with how-to books and real weddings. In Color is the first installation of stunning coffee table books featuring the collaborative work of Beth Chapman, Candice Coppola and Carla Ten Eyck. The book is composed of stylish photographic eye candy inspired by weddings. This keepsake book is meant to celebrate the creative spirit through beautiful stories that have grown from a single seed of inspiration. Each chapter tells its own tale and each photograph is part of a purposeful narrative. There are moments of magic in every color choice, every theme, every piece of paper, every blossom, and every hint of shadow or ray of sunlight.

about the experts


This book is a collaboration between Beth Chapman, Candice Coppola and Carla Ten Eyck, three wellrespected wedding industry creatives. All three women have worked together on more than a dozen photo shoots together, traveling throughout New England and to New Orleans and Costa Rica.

beth lindsay chapman


Beth is a former Vice President of Merchandising for Ann Taylor and the owner and founder of The White Dress by the shore, a luxury bridal boutique on the Connecticut shoreline. She is recognized as an expert in the bridal fashion industry and contributed to a chapter in Karen Bussens Simple Stunning Bride, and has written articles for AOL's Aisle Dash and on wedding fashion for Google. Her work and voice can be seen in the following publications: Connecticut Bride, The New York Times, The Hartford Courant, BRIDES Connecticut, Southern New England Weddings Magazine, Bliss Celebrations, Gala Weddings Magazine, Southern Weddings Magazine, La Bella Bride, Grace Ormonde Magazine, Style Me Pretty and 100 Layer Cake. Beth has also been featured on local television and Martha Stewarts radio show.

candice dowling coppola


Candice Coppola is the owner and creative director of Jubilee Events, an event design and planning studio based in Cheshire, Connecticut. After opening her business in 2007, she quickly became a sought after event designer, working with clients from the United States and internationally. She has been a featured expert in BRIDES Magazine, Connecticut Bride, BRIDES Connecticut, eGala Weddings and The Hartford Courant. Her work and voice has been featured in People, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, The New York Times, Get Married Magazine, all 16 regional BRIDES Magazines, Gala Weddings Magazine, Bliss Celebrations, La Bella Bride, Southern New England Weddings Magazine, Grace Ormonde, Southern Weddings Magazine, Connecticut Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Junebug Weddings and 100 Layer Cake.

carla ten eyck


Carla Ten Eyck is a photographer and life-long resident of Hartford, Connecticut, focusing on wedding and fashion photography. Her work has been featured on the covers of Connecticut Bride, Gala Weddings Magazine and Bliss Celebrations (in associated projects with both Chapman and Coppola.) Ten Eyck's photography is also in the current coffee table book Art of Celebration -- New England. Her work and voice has also been featured in BRIDES Connecticut, The Knot Magazine, Connecticut Bride, Newport Weddings Magazine, Karen Bussens book Simple Stunning Bride, Southern Weddings Magazine, Style Me Pretty, and 100 Layer Cake. Carlas work has been exhibited at The Hartford Public Library and The Butler-McCook Homestead. She is an avid educator, teaching photography workshops in her Hartford studio, and has also taught at industry conventions including Partnercon, Inspire Boston, and the Connecticut Professional Photographers Association. She is the current leader of the Pictage Users Group, a statewide photographers networking group of 250 photographers.

The target audience of The White Dress: In Color is both the couple looking to be creatively motivated for their wedding day and the wedding industry at large, who will support, promote, and garner inspiration from this body of work. Couples find a source of inspiration that becomes their muse or their motivation, as they chart a path towards a memorable beginning. Our core audience appreciates fashion, art, flowers, interiors, photography, graphic design, and love stories.

Coffee table books in the wedding industry have focused on real weddings and partiesnever on inspirational photo shoots. They have also incorporated how-tos and guides on planning your wedding. First and foremost, our book isnt focused on words, but instead on the beautiful images and the stories that they tell. It is intended to plant a seed of inspiration for the reader, allowing them to open their creative mind and design a wedding inspired by details in the book and their own imagination. Chapman, Coppola and Ten Eyck are well-connected in the wedding industry and have developed relationships with almost every regional and national bridal magazine and their editors. They have individually and jointly developed relationships with regional and national press outlets such as news stations and local television shows, radio, and newspapers. Once published, the intention is to have a memorable launch party for The White Dress: In Color in Connecticut or New York followed by a nationwide book tour with parties in major cities, utilizing their industry and event connections throughout the country. The White Dress: In Color will be sold in stores local to our businesses (including RJ Julia Booksellers) and studios (including our own), as well as at national retailers and online stores.

Ultimately, The White Dress: In Color would develop a partnership with a national home decor retailer to sell copies to couples who register, or as engagement gifts. The White Dress: In Color will receive press on television locally and nationally, as the trio could be featured experts on The Today Show and Good Morning America. With our close relationships with industry magazines and their editors, the book will have featured spotlights in magazines such as Martha Stewart Weddings and BRIDES. Within Carlas connections throughout the photography industry, Candices connections with event planners and designers, and Beths connections with fashion designers, their work will be supported by an active and mobilizing collection of professionals The White Dress: In Color features the work of fashion designers, graphic designers, shoe companies, hair stylists, makeup artists, caterers and floral designers who will all heavily promote the book and enhance its potential for success. All three authors are avid users of social media and have developed a loyal following (@eventjubilee, @thewhitedress, @carlateneyck), which will be used to promote and bring momentum to this project. The forward of The White Dress: In Color will be written by industry expert and published author, Karen Bussen.
