The White Dress: In Color is a collection of dramatic visual stories from around the world, meant to inspire in a market saturated with how-to books and real weddings. In Color is the first installation of stunning coffee table books featuring the collaborative work of Beth Chapman, Candice Coppola and Carla Ten Eyck. The book is composed of stylish photographic eye candy inspired by weddings. This keepsake book is meant to celebrate the creative spirit through beautiful stories that have grown from a single seed of inspiration. Each chapter tells its own tale and each photograph is part of a purposeful narrative. There are moments of magic in every color choice, every theme, every piece of paper, every blossom, and every hint of shadow or ray of sunlight.

The target audience of The White Dress: In Color is both the couple looking to be creatively motivated for their wedding day and the wedding industry at large, who will support, promote, and garner inspiration from this body of work. Couples find a source of inspiration that becomes their muse or their motivation, as they chart a path towards a memorable beginning. Our core audience appreciates fashion, art, flowers, interiors, photography, graphic design, and love stories.

Coffee table books in the wedding industry have focused on real weddings and partiesnever on inspirational photo shoots. They have also incorporated how-tos and guides on planning your wedding. First and foremost, our book isnt focused on words, but instead on the beautiful images and the stories that they tell. It is intended to plant a seed of inspiration for the reader, allowing them to open their creative mind and design a wedding inspired by details in the book and their own imagination. Currently, coffee table books in the industry include: In Style Weddings by In Style Magazine (2006) Fete: The Wedding Experience by Jung Lee (2008), the Simple Stunning Bride series by Karen Bussen (2004-2010), Signature Sasha: Magnificent Weddings by Design by Sasha Souza (2010), Wedding Chic series by Colin Cowie (2008), Weddings by Tara Guererd (2010), The Wedding Book by Mindy Weiss (2008), The Big White Book of Weddings by David Tutera (2010) and Love Never Goes Out of Style by Grace Ormonde (2010). These are all how-to books and/or feature only real weddings.
Chapman, Coppola and Ten Eyck are well-connected in the wedding industry and have developed relationships with almost every regional and national bridal magazine and their editors. They have individually and jointly developed relationships with regional and national press outlets such as news stations and local television shows, radio, and newspapers. Once published, the intention is to have a memorable launch party for The White Dress: In Color in Connecticut or New York followed by a nationwide book tour with parties in major cities, utilizing their industry and event connections throughout the country. The White Dress: In Color will be sold in stores local to our businesses (including RJ Julia Booksellers) and studios (including our own), as well as at national retailers and online stores.

Ultimately, The White Dress: In Color would develop a partnership with a national home decor retailer to sell copies to couples who register, or as engagement gifts. The White Dress: In Color will receive press on television locally and nationally, as the trio could be featured experts on The Today Show and Good Morning America. With our close relationships with industry magazines and their editors, the book will have featured spotlights in magazines such as Martha Stewart Weddings and BRIDES. Within Carlas connections throughout the photography industry, Candices connections with event planners and designers, and Beths connections with fashion designers, their work will be supported by an active and mobilizing collection of professionals The White Dress: In Color features the work of fashion designers, graphic designers, shoe companies, hair stylists, makeup artists, caterers and floral designers who will all heavily promote the book and enhance its potential for success. All three authors are avid users of social media and have developed a loyal following (@eventjubilee, @thewhitedress, @carlateneyck), which will be used to promote and bring momentum to this project. The forward of The White Dress: In Color will be written by industry expert and published author, Karen Bussen.
