The concept of connected learning. v Look at the Going Digital Framework element connected learning What does it mean in our context for videoconferencing?

What to do! 15 minutes v Show the Going Digital Framework- brief overview by facilitator (5 minutes) v Activity using Padlet Participants look at the key element connected learning and discuss in their group the concept and highlight on Padlet in point form their understandings. Go to http://padlet.com/wall/connectlearning v Feedback required. (10 minutes) 2. The Connected Learning Framework v Look at the key elements and its components of connected learning- facilitator 1. Environment - (managing space and time); 2. Technologies - (managing equipment, operating equipment and Infrastructure); 3. Designing - (tools required, tool selection, activities, planning the session, tailoring the experience and participant engagement); and 4. People - (protocols, building relationships, needs analysis).

What to do! 15 minutes v Participants to brainstorm using Answer Garden the key considerations, questions, concerns, opportunities of using the Polycom Videoconferencing equipment. (5 minutes). v Facilitator to show participants the Connected Learning Framework and look at its key elements and components. (5 minutes) v Participants to match their considerations against the Connected Learning Framework. Any elements or components missing? (5 minutes).

What to do! 20 minutes v Facilitator to allocate an element (technologies, people, designing or environment) of the Connected Learning Framework to each group v Each group is required to look at the element and distil it in a way that they can give a summary to the other groups. The group to use any web or App tool to share their understandings e.g. Popplet, Educreation, office, keynote etc.

(15 minutes) research and preparation (5 minutes) 3. Defining types of Sessions? v What type of sessions will you run? e.g. meeting, student lesson or teacher professional learning experience v What are the considerations for session durations? v How is a professional learning experience different to a meeting? v Will it be recorded for future viewing?

What to do! 10 minutes v Participants to discuss 4. Tool Kit - Web 2 Tools and Apps for Active facilitation v Learning how to use the digital tools and Apps v Which tools will I use? and Why have you chosen the tool/s?

What to do! 15 minutes v Facilitators to demonstrate a tool and explain how, when and why it may used v Set homework for participants to come back and present a tool to use,; explain the explain how, when and why. Closing: What next? Do we need to review controlling the hardware?
