VICTORIA: A WINNER
Early 1999 is launched Victoria, the first handheld device in the world to operate up to STM-1. April 2000: Victoria grows in features and interfaces to the point where it can more than hold its own against any portable device. Operators, manufacturers and installers have welcomed the arrival of this efficient and intuitive tool for the way it has made their work easier and reduced operating time.
Internetworking tests
The fact that European and American standards exist side by side in Victoria makes it possible to operate in any environment. All SDH, SONET, PDH and T-Carrier topologies can be checked.
Graphs showing events and pointer values Generation of AU and TU pointer events Programming and display of overhead bytes Ideal for fixed telephony, cable Insertion of events: all errors and alarms operators, leased lines, access Trail trace messages (J0, J1 and J2) networks, corporate networks, Transparency test on DCCs and other trunk networks, GSM and UMTS, bytes multimedia and manufacturers of Transmitter frequency deviation SDH and SONET equipment Internal clock stratum 3, recovered; external reference (clock or coded signal) Pre-programmed tests 2 Mbit/s and 1.5 Mbit/s frame structures with signaling analysis and tests in Nx64 and Nx56 Kbit/s
Total mobility
Weighting only 2 kg and battery-powered, Victoria is ideal for work in central office environments and also out in the field.
Touch&Play
Simplicity, ergonomics and efficiency: Victorias touchscreens do away with the need for function keys and endless menus, and last 9 times longer than a conventional keyboard.
SoftLEDs
This technology allows all events to be displayed simultaneously on screen while still providing the user with all the advantages of working with tricolor LEDs. Errors, alarms, slips and pointer events are grouped in layers that are associated to 10 external LEDs, with the result that events can always be

Optical micromodules
In order to deal with all the possible combinations when connecting to the optical interface, a range of optical micromodules that can measure optical power and be powered by the battery of the Victoria itself were developed. A variety of modules are available: multimode, single mode 1310 and 1550nm, short and long haul, with SC, FC and other connectors.

Storage
Events and other parameters are stored using multi-event cards, letting you obtain several long-term measurements with a resolution of one second. Tracing combines time plots and histograms to provide a summary of network defects and anomalies. A search function lets you locate all types of errors and alarms, as well as isolating bursts and intermittent alarms. The names of the
