Plans Officer US Army National Guard January 2011 - Present (2 years 10 months) Plans Officer in the Domestic Operations Support Directorate. Primary contact for plans and policy development within the Texas Army National Guard Support Directorate. The Support Directorate comprises Logistics, Personnel and Budget Departments. (J4,J1,J8) Decision Support Analyst at US Army ISAF Joint Command Kabul Afghanistan December 2010 - January 2012 (1 year 2 months) Mobilized into federal service and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. Served as a member of a "red team". Red Teams are designed to support decision making during planning and operations. Red teams identify potential weaknesses, vulnerabilities and unseen opportunities. Red teams also provide commanders an independent capability to fully explore alternatives in plans, operations, concepts, organizations, and capabilities in the context of the operational environment. They do this from the perspectives of our partners, adversaries, and others. Red Teaming is a function executed by trained and educated officers, senior warrant officers, senior non-commissioned officers, and civilians to enhance staff planning and improve decision making in today's dynamic and uncertain environment. Regularly briefed senior Army leaders up to the three star level on a variety of classified and unclassifed topics. Operations Officer - Headquarters Company 71st Theater Information Operations Group June 2010 - December 2010 (7 months) Operations officer for the Headquarters Company of the 71st Theater Information Operations group with simultaneous assignment to the US Army Wounded Warrior program for post operative care. During this period I was under post operative care for an injury and had no official duties, however I did work on a part time basis and assisted the commander with various staff functions.

Detachment Commander US Army National Guard October 2008 - June 2010 (1 year 9 months) Rear detachment 636th Military Intelligence Battalion. Commanded a battalion rear detachment. Responsible for over $15MM worth of vehicles, weapons and equipment. Supervised a primary staff of 10 soldiers and exercised command authority over 150 soldiers. Responsible for the day to day operation of the unit and for insuring that all training and other requirements mandated by Army regulations were accomplished to the required standards. Complied with all physical security requirements and maintained accurate accounting on all classified and unclassified property and materials assigned to the unit. Reporting directly to the Brigade Commander as a subordinate unit I was required to prepare weekly and monthly reports of the unit's status on personnel, equipment, weapons, vehicles and all classified property. Due to an injury the normal length of time for this type of assignment was shortened. Awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by the Division Commander (2 star General) for this assignment. Combat Advisor/Trainer at US Army Afghanistan Regional Security Command - North October 2007 - October 2008 (1 year 1 month) Mobilized into federal service and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. Assigned as the Miltary Inteligence Advisor/Trainer of an embedded training team. Once in theater I was placed in temporary Command of a US Army Embedded Training Team pending the arrival of a more senior officer. I served as an acting commander for 90 days. I was Primarily tasked with training counterinsurgency operations to the Afghan National Police Force. Additionally responsible for a wide variety of other training and combat operations. Completion of the US Army Combat Advisor Course was a prerequisite for this assignment. Promoted to First Lieutenant during the deployment, awarded the Texas Combat Service Ribbon, The Army Commendation Medal, The NATO Medal and The Afghan Campaign Medal during the deployment.

Student - US Army Tactical Intelligence Officer Course at Army National Guard March 2007 - October 2008 (1 year 8 months) School for completion of the US Army Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course. The Officer Basic Course is a graduate level course designed to prepare US Army Officers to function as generalists in the US intelligence community. Specific focus on analysis of raw intelligence and the methodology of producing intelligence products to assist leaders at various levels in planning operations. A TOP SECRET US Government Clearance is a prerequisite for attending this course.

General Manager at FiberTrench July 2005 - October 2007 (2 years 4 months) As owner and operator I was responsible for all aspects of the business. FiberTrench was a licensed distributor for ACO Polymer Products' line of pre fabricated drainage systems. FiberTrench sold to and supported a broad customer base ranging from large industrial customers to residential users. Interfaced with engineers, architects and other design professionals on a regular basis to gain ACO branded products into the construction specifications. Prepared sales quotations by doing "take-off's" from blue prints for general and sub contractors and provided technical advice as needed. Coordinated shipping both domestic and internationally. Through creative outsourcing via contracted logistics, accounting, customer service and marketing firms I was able to create a corporate image of a much larger company. FiberTrench ceased operations due to my military mobilization to active duty and my subsequent full time commitment to the Army National Guard. District Sales Manager at ACO Polymer Products, Inc - Manufacture of prefabricated Trench Drainage Solutions January 2001 - January 2003 (2 years 1 month) AR, and LA) I was responsible for sales and technical support of all ACO products. Prepared sales and expense budgets, Interfaced with design engineers and architects during the planning stages and followed projects through the construction phase. Tracked construction activity within the territory using a variety of sources. Cultivated relationships with design professionals, purchasing agents and principle decision makers to improve sales penetration. Solely responsible to make sales calls to builders and contractors, as well as preparing all sales quotations, proposals and solutions with in the assigned territory. Based out of my home I worked independently 99% of the time with only occasional visits from my supervisor. Exceeded sales quotas every year between 102%-180%

Director of Sales at Lumatec Industries January 1995 - January 1997 (2 years 1 month) As Director of Sales I reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Direct responsibility for the sales department, including full P&L responsibility. Directly supervised a group of 6 senior sales representatives and indirectly responsible for a sales department of 40-50 personal who were a combination of direct employees and independent contractors. Prepared budgets in total dollars and units for each of the company's products on a yearly, quarterly and monthly basis. Worked closely with the Director of Marketing in preparing all marketing materials. Responsible for increasing sales from under $2MM to over $12MM. Successfully negotiated purchase orders into several mass market big box retailers. Conceived and executed a strategy of using contracted manufacturers representatives to allow excellent exposure and customer service to existing retail partners. Initiated an in house customer care department to reach out to smaller retail partners and cultivate a closer relationship. This initiative resulted in doubling sales through smaller boutique retailers. Territory Manager at Bose Corporation January 1991 - July 1995 (4 years 7 months) Territory Sales Manager for Military Sales in the Southwest territory ( TX, OK, AR, LA) responsible for all sales of Bose branded products through the military exchange system. planned and executed product demonstrations and supervised and coached a team of 5-7 account representatives throughout the terrritory.
