QUALIFY THE INJECTORS TO BE SERVICED BY PART NUMBER AND APPLICATION. CORROSION OR RUST CONTAMINATION IN INJECTOR INLET CANNOT BE PROPERLY CLEANED. CLEANING INJECTOR WILL NOT RESOLVE PROBLEM AND INJECTORS MUST BE REPLACED. INJECTORS WITH BROKEN OR DAMAGED PINTLE TIPS CANNOT BE REPAIRED. INJECTORS MUST BE REPLACED. BEFORE DISASSEMBLING THE INJECTOR, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE NECESSARY REPAIR COMPONENTS. SOME INJECTOR COMPONENTS CANNOT BE REPLACED OR ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM ASNU. REFER TO THE INJECTOR INDEX.

Machine Warranty
All repairs or replacements of machines will be handled NAPA Echlin DSM. All questions regarding inoperative machines will be conducted through your local NAPA Echlin DSM. If a machine breaks down and repairs cannot be determined in the field, the NAPA Echlin DSM will get authorization to ship the machine back to the factory for repairs or replacement for up to one year after purchase. The customer will be instructed where to ship the machine prepaid and then all freight charges will be re-reimbursed. If the customer is able to determine the problem causing an inoperative machine, upon approval of the NAPA Echlin DSM, the necessary parts will be shipped on a no charge basis for up to one year after purchase. The customer will perform the replacement of these parts. No labor will be paid for customer installed components. In instances where the machine has been damaged due to user neglect, we will ship parts for a charge, plus freight. If repairs are done at the ASNU repair center, all freight, parts and labor are the responsibility of the user. After the 12 month warranty period, the user may continue to have the machine serviced at the ASNU Repair Center, on a labor, materials and freight cost basis. The ASNU Repair Center will not be responsible for any damage which occurs during the shipment of a machine back to the user.

Echlin Part Numbers 2-15630 and 2-15631 Adapters comes complete with 2-15629 harness and plastic cleaning tray for ultrasonic cleaning of individual injector coils. 2-15629 Harness assembly is a available separately. The later GM Vortec (late) system is a Multi Point operation with 6 or 8 individual injectors mounted in the housing, allowing either a simultaneous or sequential injection delivery. The fuel is pressurized into the injector housing and as the injector is electronically opened, the fuel is pressure fed into a nylon delivery tube. At the end of the tube is a pressure poppet valve. The poppet valve sits in the inlet manifold and can be subject to extremely harsh conditions that may affect the performance of the valve. The opening and closing of the poppet valve is controlled by pressure and determines the fuel distribution, fuel atomization and the fuel delivery to each cylinder. The is therefore very important to examine the performance of this system, both before servicing (to understand the cause of the engine problem) and after, to ensure the cause of the problem had been eliminated and that the system is working properly.
