Pre-listening 1. Pupils are asked to listen to a recorded dialogue. 2. Pupils listen to the cue words pronounced by the teacher. *Cue words: Name, Live, Height, Weight, Hobby, Ambition, Studying While-listening 1. Teacher distributes task sheet with some words on it to the pupils. 2. Pupils listen to the conversation again and they are asked to circle the cue words mentioned in the conversation.

Post-listening

1. Pupils pronounce the words they had circled earlier with the correct stress and intonation. 2. In pairs, pupils act out the dialogue and present it to the class.

Reflection :

20 pupils are able to use correct word stress.

1. Teacher shows key words on cards. e.g: name, address. height, weight, ambition, hobby 2. In pairs, get pupils to talk about their personal details.

While reading 1. In pairs, pupils read the dialogue given. 2. Pupils underline the key words mentioned by the teacher. 3. Pupils find the meaning of the words in the dictionary.

Post reading 1. Pupils answer WH-questions from the dialogue.

Kim Seng just moves to a new school. Today is his first day in the school. He meets his new classmate of Year Four.

: Hello, are you a new pupil in this class?

: Yes, I am. My father just promoted to this area.

Geetha

: I am Kim Seng. My surname is Lim. I live in Taman Chedong Jaya.

Geetha

: What does your fathers occupation?

Kim Seng

: My father is a doctor in Maran Hospital.

Ganesh

: I am Ganesh and she is Geetha. We are in the same class.

Kim Seng

: I like reading storybooks and surfing internet. How about you?

Ganesh

: I also like reading story books. I have a lot of storybooks at home. Maybe we can exchange storybooks sometimes.

While writing 4. Get the people to fill in the form given with their particulars. 5. In pairs, ask them to show each other form that they have filled out.

Post writing 1. In groups of four, get pupils to create another form. 2. Collect the form. Make necessary corrections and return them to the pupils. 3. Ask pupils to exchange forms and get their fiends to fill out their forms.

2. Teacher distributes the envelope with sentence strips in it. 3. Pupils read the sentences in groups. 4. Pupils replace the underlined words with correct pronounce.

Sentence strips: 1. Geetha is ten years old. 2. Gopal studies in SK Taman Melawati. 3. Anita and Liana like reading storybooks. 4. My sister and I walk to school every morning.
