1. Combing/brushing hair: a. Parted hair into sections. b. Combed from scalp toward hair ends. c. Moistened hair with water. d. Loosened tangles with fingers. e. Used wide-tooth comb to comb hair into shape. 2. Shaving with a disposable razor: a. Placed towel over patients chest and shoulders. b. Ran warm water into basin; checked temperature. c. Applied dampened cloth to patients face for several seconds. d. Applied shaving cream/soap to patients face.

S e. Shaved patients face; rinsed razor in warm water cream/soap accumulated. f. Rinsed face thoroughly with warm water when shaving completed. g. Held mirror; allowed patient to trim with scissors as needed.
