Piggimoes Strat vir Cisco CCNP Tshoot Exam You will need to prep properly for this exam.

Use this with the Power Point Presentation and Narciscos dump because his dump has got configs . Print out the PPP and use it as flashcards to test your prepping. 1. The tickets is all the same except for the HSRP (DSW1) and the IPv6 (R2) 2. All tickets states that CLIENT 1 cant ping the WEBSERVER at 209.65.200.224 3. Sometimes your client will have an IP address (DHCP) and sometimes not (DHCP FAILED) To troubleshoot is easy. Write down on your paper all the possible issue you can get after you have studied the latest CORRECT dump from EXAMCOLLECTION. (Do this before you even click anywhere on the pc to start the exam) 1. Start your exam by clicking on Ticket 1. 2. You must identify the FAULTY CONFIGURATION on all devices. All the tickets are related to CONFIGS and not hardware or cable issues. 3. Dont bother clicking on your client to ping EVER! 4. First, you read the question. 5. Then, click on the CLOSEST device to the WEBSERVER (R1) 6. Do a ping test to the Webserver IP. 7. If this ping is ok move to the SECOND closest Device from the server and ping the server 8. If ping is ok move down to the 3rd device from Webserver and ping it 9. If ping is ok move down the line (get the picture?) 10. Your focus points will be R1 - R2 - R4 - DSW1 and ASW1 11. Keep on doing pings until your pings fails the device you get the failed ping from, that is NORMALLY your faulty device 12. Check that devices config 13. If that config is ok, check the device adjacent to the device you got the ping failed from (the device is then normally one device closer to the WEBSERVER) Example: You could ping from R1 to server so you move your focus to R4. Your ping failed from R4. Do show run on R4 and check the config. This config should be broken or have missing or wrong statements. If you find that the config is actually 100% on R4, the issue is on R1. Even though you got a reply from R1 when you pinged the WEBSERVER, you will have an issue between R4 and R1. Another example You got a reply on R1 when you pinged the server. You got a reply from R4 when you pinged the server (these two devices is ok ESPECIALLY R1!). now, when you logged on to DSW1 and you pinged the server your ping failed. Do a show run on DSW1 and check the config. If the config is ok double check your R4 config. You wil only need to use the L3 topolgy diagram in the exam. Dont bother with any of the other network topology diagrams. They have the same problems and issues but are only different so more

and different people can relate to them. Take the one that makes the most sense to you. For me, the IPv4 Layer 3 Topology made more sense and I stayed on this one throughout the whole exam. Once again, take the one that makes the most sense to you. That is it!!! Use this with the Flash cards and the Narcisco 54 Dump.

REMEMBER LOG ON THE CLOSEST DEVICE TO WEBSERVER, PING IF OK, MOVE TO NEXT DEVICE UNTIL YOU GET A FAILED PING. CHECK THE CONFIG ON BOTH ADJACENT DEVICES AND MAKE THE CORRECT CHOICE!!
USE NARCISCOS DUMP AND LOOK AT THE CONFIGS SO YOU CAN FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH HOW THE RUNNING CONFIGS ARE GOING TO LOOK ON THE DEVICES! One more tip, never close any ticket during the exam by clicking "DONE". First of all, go through these strategies, u will understand how to identify these tickets in exam. Then on the plastic board given during the exam, write down the strategy in ur own words (yes u will be memorizing those tickets) and then once u have brought those ticket names down on the plastic board, click on each ticket, follow the steps u wud find in the strategy, identify the device, the technology and the way to resolve it. Now on ur plastic board, right the ticket number infront of the respective ticket u wrote on ur plastic board at the begining of the test, then ABORT the ticket, go to next ticket, identify it by ipconfig (see whether it is default 169.x.x.x ip or 10.2.1.3 ip | u might be confused at the moment, but once u go through khattak's strategy u will understand what i am talking about). Once identified ticket 2, ABORT it (dont press DONE) and move on to next ticket and so on. At the end u will have identified all the tickets on ur plastic board. Now again from ticket 1 start answering them and this time dont forget to press DONE at the end of each ticket after answering all three questions per ticket.

GOOD LUCK!
