Rishi Bijoykrishna of Howrah (also was fondly called as Howrah's Thakur--the god of Howrah) used to perform Durga Puja and Puja of Viswamata (Universal Mother). The divine words and the mantras originated from him during the Durga Puja of 1937 are recorded in this book by his devoted disciple Sarala Devi who was also the niece of Ravindranath Thakur(Tagore).
