Save Draft 1b) Identify one weakness in the assessment plan and explain why it is a weakness in relation to the learning goals of this unit. One of the weaknesses is the formative quiz being taken from the text book, and that this multiple choice quiz is the primary form of assessment. Seventy five percent of the quizzes are only multiple choice and fill in the blank which does not allow students to express their knowledge in their own way. The information in this unit can display some very complex topics that a multiple choice test can have misleading questions and confuse a student who may actually understand the information and the lesson. Short answer, may be a better form of evaluation because it allows the students to actually show what they know, and not guess at what the right answer may be. When a student has to answer a question in their own words they have to access knowledge from a different part of the brain. This will truly show whether or not they are actually ready to move on to the next lesson.
