During the design process of the building, we kept LEED points in mind and strived to keep waste to a minimum. We opted to remove the existing roof and replace it with a shed roof in order to collect the greatest possible amount of rain water for our gray water system. Our design maintains the original footprints of the buildings and adds a secondary material to break up the building and distinctly de ne the boundaries of each town home. The external material for the additions is called Thermally Modi ed Timber (TMT) panels which are more suitable under Mississippis humid weather conditions.

The goal is to create a self-sustaining educational environment that promotes an innovative and ecological way of thinking and living. Our State. Our Roots.
