So, we safely made it to the United States on September 17. Johns dad met us at the airport with some hot Shipleys donuts! We have thoroughly enjoyed our meetings and visits with you over the past month. We are in the process of recruiting more people to be a part of our nancial support team. Our ministry and family depend on consistent and faithful families who give anywhere from $20 to $200 a month. If you would like for us to speak at your Church, share with your Sunday School class, or meet with your family, please let us know! Here are the dates of where we will be this fall (they are subject to change): North MS: October 30-November 6, December 14-22 (in Oxford) Illinois: October 15-28, November 18-December 12 MS Delta (can travel to Jackson): November 6-14, 4-10 January

On October 2, we had the privilege of speaking to the youth group at Hillcrest Baptist Church in New Albany, MS. We got to see some of our friends who came to visit and work with us in Ecuador!

A little American fun Left: Sammie enjoys a swimming pool full of corn. She got to go to have some harvest time fun with her grandparents. Right: Johns mom treated us to Disney on Ice in Memphis. Sammie had a blast!

PRAYER REQUESTS
Time in the United States -Fruitful times sharing with churches, Sunday School classes, and individuals. -Wonderful time catching up with family and friends
Sal and John hiking during a training. Sal works at camp as an adventure designer which means he works to ensure each group has a great experience.

Serving in Ecuador is a joy. -Good sleep for Samantha as There is a myth that missionaries are miserable serving Jesus on we bounce around from place the eld. I cant imagine a greater privilege than to work and do what to place between Illinois and we do in Ecuador. Mississippi

Through our rst month in the States, we have joyfully shared with many family members and friends about what God is allowing us to do -Some rest and relaxation among the meetings, speaking in Ecuador. We feel so blessed to be a part of Hacienda El Refugio and live in Calacal. engagements, and gatherings It makes me wonder: What if I had said no? What if I had been disobedient and rejected Gods call to missions? Well, I would certainly be miserable living in disobedience! Thats our message as we travel from place to place speaking this fall. Do what God is calling you to do. It may be incredibly difcult and challenging for you and your family, but the blessing of it far outweighs the weight of the challenge.

Sam obviously approves of Ems new glasses. John and Esteban (a fellow camp worker) hiked Pichincha right before we came back to the States. The summit is 15,000 feet!
